Bigg Boss 11: Premiere date revealed and what you can expect

Finally Big Boss 11 has a telecast date. BB11 is all set to premiere on Colors on October 1. The show will air from 10 pm to 11 pm on Colors on weekdays, and from 9 pm to 10 pm on weekends. The construction of the Big Boss house is happening in Lonavala where all the 13 contestants will be locked for four months.

Just like last year, this year the show will have contestants who are celebrities, as well as people from everyday life.

It's been said that this year the common contestants have not been paid and they have to appear with their families on the show. Apparently, Salman wants to have a family feel in the show which is why this has been done.

Salman Khan and Mouni Roy's promo will explain the theme of the show; the two have already shot for the teaser.

And this year, there will be two houses where all the contestants have to win the tasks to lead a life of luxury.

Many celebrities and common people have been approached, few of them have confirmed about participating in the show. According to reports, here are a few celebs who have been approached for the new season:

Shilpa Shinde - The controversial former Angoori bhabi of & TV show Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai has apparently been approached for Big Boss 11 this year. She is a popular face, temperamental, and a straight talker, all of which makes her an ideal contestant to watch out for in the show. Shilpa apparently will be revealing a lot about the industry. She is also said to clear the air about her controversy in the show.

Abhishek Malik- Bigg Boss house is incomplete without an eye candy who romances the ladies of the house. From Gautam Gulati to Prince Narula, every season has had a hunk on the show. So this season, BB11 will have TV actor Abhishek Malik doing exactly that. He is currently seen in show Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi and has done many serials in the past. Abhishek has been Mr Delhi and has also been part of reality shows like Splitsvilla and Dare to Date, so he exactly knows what to do in a reality show.

Dhinchak Pooja- Big Boss season 11 will have a musical guest in the face of Dhinchak Pooja. The internet sensation from Delhi whose songs are the talk of the town, Pooja, popularly known as Dhinchak Pooja, is actually Pooja Jain. This is the first time she will be seen in any reality show. Her songs like Selfie main le li has been trending the charts and is quite popular with youth.

Harsh Beniwal- The latest name apparently been approached for Big Boss 11 is that of comedian and internet sensation Harsh Beniwal. The name of this Delhi-based comedian has been doing the rounds and he has apparently been approached for this show.

Harsh hails from Delhi, and his YouTube page has over 25,000 subscribers. So Harsh, like Dhinchak Pooja, is quite big in the digital world. But apparently his popularity is the biggest problem that's coming in the way for his casting in Big Boss 11.

News has it that Harsh wants to enter the show as a celebrity and not as a commoner, while the channel and makers want Harsh to enter as a common man. Harsh's videos on YouTube are under his channel Hansle India and are among the most viewed with over 5.5 crore views. Harsh is also very active on social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram.

Pearl V Puri- Pearl hails from Agra and is a TV star who made his debut with the Star Plus show Phir Bhi Dil Na Maane Badtameez Dil. The show was popular with the youth and Pearl was linked with co-star Asmita Sood. Later Pearl did Zee TV's Meri Sasu Maa and got involved with co-star Hiba Nawab while he was reportedly dating Asmita. Later, he appeared in the Life OK show Nagarjun where he was linked with co-star Karishma Tanna.

Sana Saeed- Remember Shah Rukh Khan's cute daughter Anjali in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai? Yes, that is Sana Saeed. The child-actress is now an attractive woman who is all set to entertain everyone in Big Boss house this year. Sana made her TV debut with Sab TV Show Lo Ho Gayi Pooja Iss Ghar Ki in 2008, and has been a part of quite a few shows. Sana was also seen in Karan Johar's hit film Student of the Year.
