Anushka Sharma is having a busy year as
she has a lot of films under her kitty. Her
latest outing Jab Harry Met Sejal released last
week. Now, she is currently shooting for
Pari and she has wrapped Sanjay Dutt
biopic. Recently, it was announced that
Anushka is all set to star alongside Varun
Dhawan for the first time in Sui Dhaga. The
film will hit the screens next year on
September 28, 2018.
Now, Deepika Padukone's upcoming project
based on the life of mafia queen Sapna Didi
might also hit the screens on the same day.
The film is being produced by Vishal
Bhardwaj and KriArj Entertainment and also
stars Irrfan alongside Deepika.
It is set to be a holiday weekend as Gandhi
Jayanti falls on October 2, so makers of both
the films are eyeing for a good long
weekend. Talking about it, a source stated
to a leading daily, "Like every actor has his
favourite holiday date for release, Vishal
likes releasing his films around Gandhi
Jayanti. Now, YRF has already announced the
release date for Sui Dhaga, since it releases
on September 28 (2018), it will enjoy an
extended weekend because of October 2,
which will give the film a holiday advantage,
mid-week. Vishal releasing his film on Sapna
Didi will result in a clash between Anushka
and Deepika at the box office."
The source further stated, "Both are small
films, so they will be ready in a short time
unless there's any other roadblock. But YRF
is known to not budge from dates, no
matter who they clash with. On the other
hand, Vishal has moved from his October 2
spot when he pushed the release of
Rangoon. It's unlikely he will do the same
with this film. So the clash is almost
inevitable."
