Perfect! The less time will give a tighter screenplay! And this is first time I'm itching to watch the 2nd half of the movie so badly, those last few scenes of the trailer just skyrocketed my expectations to another level. Or, it's that Kang is just SO good that I am in awe. She's the finest actor of this generation and I can't wait for simran to be another one of her defining performances! 😳

Yep... a well cut movie - sweet and simple to the point will do wonders if the makers are eyeing for multiplex success (the primary revenue stream).

I also heard before that most of the songs are in the background like Queen. There's only one shaadi song which we see a glimpse of in the trailer choreographed by Remo. TSeries wants to ensure they make money on music too. 😆

And... two of my standout moments in the trailer.

- Her confession about her flaws ( the reveal, eyebrow raise, vulnerability and gleeful smile - all in a fleeting 3 secs👏)

- Her raising toast to LV skyline with tears in her eyes (not sure where she was coming from - the fact she achieved her goals surmounting the odds or the downfall it brought her and the realization that all which glittered, wasn't gold. I'm hooked).

I hope she explores more with amazing writers, especially for her directorials. This lady needs well written avant garde characters to bring life too.

^^^ Yeah, Shaadi song seems to be the only actual song in the movie. And my favorite moments where when she raises the chair and shouts at her dad, with out of control anger, and then just as soon the dawning realization of what she was about to do, those downcast eyes and that incurring shame. Just in the flicker of her eyes and her expressions, she SOLD that scene to me. Another one of my favorites is when she goes "phat gayi sameer," I absolutely love the delivery of those lines, the way she laughs while says it, that whole response is just so human. The surprise and shock when someone doesn't live up to your expectations, so in that sense that laughter was not a true amusement, but a defense mechanism and shock reaction, I'm in awe at the sheer brilliance of delivering her lines that way. Only an immensely talented actor can even think about doing that. UGH. I am so in love, this might surpass my love for even queen because simran is just so effing relatable with her vulnerabilities and just her pure humanness.
