Shah Rukh Khan came to Aamir Khan's rescue today after the latter got contracted with Swine Flu.
Aamir Khan and his wife Kiran Rao have played an active part in community service via the Satyamev Jayate Water Cup event. This is a competition between different villages to see who can do the maximum work for water conservation in the period of the competition. The competition period for the second edition of the Water Cup was 8th April to 22nd May 2017. The top three villages were to get cash prizes of Rs. 50 lakhs, Rs. 30 lakhs and Rs. 20 lakhs respectively.
However, after working hard on this initiative, Aamir Khan was unable to make it to the final awards ceremony. Apparently, the actor is down with Swine Flu, and as it is very contagious, he decided to stay put at home. However, Aamir took advantage of friendship day and made a quick call to good friend Shah Rukh Khan, asking him to take Aamir's place at the ceremony.
Being the sporting star that he is, SRK was quick to jump to Aamir's rescue. Aamir however, joined the event via webcon and conveyed his message saying, "We (himself and Kiran) are very sad today. This is because, after an year of good work, when it was time to celebrate with all of you, we are unable to join you. The disease I have, it is very contagious. It is the H1N1 virus and people call it Swine flu. The problem with Swine Flu is that, I can spread it to many others, wherever I go. So for the next one week, I will be home-ridden, so that I don't spread it to anyone else. And for this reason, we are not with you guys today. We are extremely sad about it."

Well, we wish Aamir a speedy recovery! On the work front, Aamir will next be seen in the movie Secret Superstar, which is apparently a movie on woman empowerment.
