His only huge hit was JWM .. otherwise he is really over hyped by the industry. I remember sleeping through Rockstar and trying to understand that why the hell people wirship imtiaz.

Withthis movie at least the misconceptions that Imtiazbis a world class director is over .. Socha na tga stats his best till date more because of the freshness in Abhay-Ayesha pair abd them being young ..

KANK was the panauti movie that destroyed Abhi and Priety and to an extent Rani's career .. 😆

Dont understand why did Abhi decide to play a second fiddle in his prime?

I saw the film today and I loved it
There was really something different in this story
I loved the way it was presented
I loved the small moments Harry and Sejal spent together
I hope later people love it

Just like Fan, we have another misunderstood masterpiece folks. If only people would use their imagination and dream up themes and story threads that are not in the movie, it could have worked.

Thing is, both him and his circle (read, most of his fanbase) are to blame for his total inability to listen to criticism and learn what went wrong. He has been doing films as bad as or worse than Salman stuff. But his fans assume some kind of moral superiority to offer expert comments on every film of other stars. Your star hasn't made a single watchable film in over seven-eight years except possibly for one Dear Zindagi. But it's all us who should be blamed for not giving recognition to his cult classics. More importantly, he reads scripts and doesn't think ki every 2rs thing will work out without any effort. SRK is constantly chasing trends too late and failing. And people keep reassuring him that there is nothing wrong. How does one sign a director like Farah after TMK? He is so reluctant to listen to sense lol. Even now, his thought process is that people will understand this film after some time like it's Swadesh or Dil Se.

@bold: I agree with this. This forum is no longer at the stage where normal discussions can happen, especially in the last 2 years discussions rarely if ever take place. Basically it is everyone's fault: BJP goons, audience is too f****** stupid to understand the movie, or now critics who hate him and are deliberately giving him 1 stars.

It is the whole world's fault except SRK's when it is he who makes his own script choices. No one puts a gun on his head and forces him to pick the script..So if the audience doesn't show up. Why blame the audience? Keep blaming the whole world and nothing will ever change.

From the little i have watched of his interviews. I have heard him say he doesn't know how to pick movies, he doesn't know what works or what doesn't. It makes him sounds unsure and his "I don't know" attitude about scripts makes me wonder why the hell doesn't he go and figure it out! This is his job and he needs to pick the right scripts. One of my friend's who is a fan of his, and watched JHMS on the first day of release was telling me the other day that the one thing he wishes he could do was tell SRK you have all the resources in the world you can easily become the no1 why the hell can't you pick or wait for the right script? And this friend of mine actually said he wanted JHMS to flop, because he wanted SRK to learn from his mistakes, stop picking shitty movies and expecting the audience to show up. On this forum a person like that would never be considered a fan, because here it is everyone's fault, except SRK's and lets just blindly worship whatever the man does, the whole world is full of haters and it is always their fault.
