There is an interesting anecdote about the making of the song 'Naina barse' from Woh Kaun Thi.

The song was to be filmed in Shimla and the crew was waiting for snowfall. When the time came to shoot it, the song wasn't ready. Lata Mangeshkar wasn't available and so it was decided they would use a dummy singer and get it dubbed by Lataji later. Sadhana suggested Madan Mohan be the singer as he was best familiar with Lataji's style. So Madan Mohan sang it for shoot purposes. The people gathered to watch the shooting were quite perplexed seeing Sadhana lip-syncing to a male song and thought the movie would flop. 😆

Later, Lataji dubbed the song and the it became one of the greatest hits.

The whole album of Woh Kaun Thi is a class apart. All the songs are hauntingly beautiful. It baffles me to think Madan Mohan didn't win the Filmfare that year.
