watched it 2nd time just a few days ago...noticed a lot more subtle references to Ramayana and Mahabharata similarities between this and Mahabharata...Rajamouli too had said he is a lot more influenced by those two epics...it shows in his works...

Amarendra Baahubali - a mix of Pandavas...

Kattapa - Bheeshma and Vidhura...
