Aamir is by far a more nuanced and earnest actor.

Ranbir good at playing the man-child. He needs to experiment more before the two can be compared in terms of versatility.

I'll go with ranbir... He just sinks into his character... And given that he is 20+ years behind aamir, sky is literally the limit... Simply needs to pick good projects

Unfair to compare Aamir(30 years) with Ranbir(10 years). Aamir atm is the best we have from the mainstream cinema.

The kind of versatility Aamir has shown is amazing that Ranbir has yet to show, or reach that level.

Ranbir for the most part of his career has only played the characters that are ardent and complex. He tried his hand at doing comedies and we know what happened thereafter. He lacks a lot in this depart.

But he is one of the best from his generation for sure. He has lot to do and earn before we compare him to Aamir.

Both are good actors but as someone mentioned its 30 years vs 10 years and hence I would choose RK because 10 saal mei yeh hai toh 30 years mei toh he will be amazing.

Amir is way better than Ranbir. Ranbir has been doing the same kind of acting for three years.Amir used to act better in 90's as compared to today. So even if Amir's acting in the first ten years of his career is compared to Ranbir's acting today, Amir leads.

Generally , actors stop putting efforts in acting after 15-20 years. 😆 Amir , SRK, Akshay used to act better in 90's as compared to today. So maybe Ranbir too will follow the same path. 😆
