ranbir's last 20+ crores opening day was in 2013 with Besharam...dutt should open well at 22-25 crores since it is a biopic and they tend to do well, but i was surprised by anyone who thought 20+ crores was possible looking at his last couple of movies opening day...

He was amazing in Rajneeti.

An intelligent, shrewd, player sort of a character - that's clearly a grey character that he aces and needs to do more of. I feel he can easily change his game as long as he chooses to do that. He craves a little too much for complex roles, which is fine, as long as he balances it will some not so complex characters.

I feel Dutt will be his movie in every way that matters. Hirani will see him through this mess he has got himself into.

That Dragon movie, if not shelved already, will bring him down again though.SMH

But Hirani is not going to deal with the grey side of the character it seems..Its gonna be more based on father son bonding than the controversial stuff

There nothing more to Dutt's life that the controversies he has had. That is so much what the father-son bond was really about. His father stood by all his mistakes.

Ranboo recently said that he marvels at how much hell a person can go through in one life.They may not show him in a negative light but he will be a character with immense flaws.Those scenes, I feel, RK will ace.

Half Girlfriend and Hindi Medium First Day Business

Half Girlfriend had a good first day as it grossed 10 crore nett with good collections in cities outside the big metros. The metros like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Bangalore were average. The opening is third best ever for an Arjun Kapoor starrer after Gunday and 2 States while for Shraddha Kapoor its is fourth best after Ek Villain, ABCD 2 and Baaghi. It is the fifth best opening of this year after Bahubali (Hindi), Raees, Jolly LLB 2 and Badrinath Ki Dulhania though it was a smaller release than all those films.

The film will just need to show normal weekend trend to put up a good weekend and if that can happen then Monday will be the telling point as to what it can do. The music helped the film take an initial and the next few days will tell if the film has the content as the director Mohit Suri had a bad one last time out with Hamari Adhuri Kahani which failed totally failed to take off even with good music. Hindi Medium grossed 2.50 crore nett on day one which is low but it will be about the Saturday growth for this film and more importantly Monday has to hold in the Friday range.

It is actually a bit lower than the expectations
Have to see if the weekend improves the collections
He is getting excellent reviews from most of the critics
If the week end has an uplift then it can get a decent week end total

Reviews have always praised RK's films even BV got great reviews.

i didnt knew media gives out fake numbers for Salman's movie, its difficult to differentiate between the fake and real news because they all are floating around on the net. so why did they say tubelight is releasing in 10000 screen ?😕
