How many of you agree that Jack would have survived the climax if it were a bollywood movie? Rose had the option to alternate on the plank so both could take turns till help arrived but not only she let him freeze but also, loosen his grip and let him sink into the cold dark ocean. And not only that she was so promiscuous gold digger that she used the other guy for his money, played him like a fool and even kept his diamond. And the height of her selfishness that even when she was dying she didn't left it for her grand daughter who could have flipped it on ebay for some cold hard cash but nah buddhi wanted it all for herself.

Now imagine if it were Bollywood. Jack would have been shot with few dozen bullets, give a grand farewell speech and still figure out a way to survive. 😆

Rose didn't keep the diamond, it was in the coat pocket that the rich snob put on her to keep her warm just before jumping into one of those rescue boats..

But ya, even I thought she could've taken turns with Jack to lie on the plank :( ..and YES YES, give that much sought-after necklace to the kids so they can earn lot of money or as an ancestral jewel like they do in our culture 😃

As for BW, yes, the hero might've survived.. but who can say! :)

and if it was a hindi serial /jack would have come back with a plastic surgery on his face

Nah I don't think he would hv survived...
in kal ho na ho they could hv saved Aman's life...same happened in raanjhana ,aashiqui 2 , QSQT ..but none got saved..

In BW version they would hv showed more melodramatic death to gain sympathy...
ha serial ki baat alag hai 😆

You know, it'd be interesting to watch a story with a 40-year-old Rose and some 20-year-old reincarnated Jack. Age-disparity in romance with a mature woman and a young boy is a rarity in Hindi cinema.

No Rose would discover she is pregnant with Jack's baby and Jack will be reincarnated as her son who will become expert swimmer and in the climax he dives down and brings back Jack's body to her.

If it was a Kekta show:

Jack would have drowned. Rose would meet a rich businessman. At first they would share a nafrat bhari rishta. But then they would marry. Kate would find out she is pregnant with Jack's child. Jack would come back. The show would take a 20 years leap...
