Scenes that stayed with me...

Sridevi's 1st breakdown scene at the hospital-brilliant

2nd breakdown scene-little over dramatic but brilliant

Sri meeting Nawazuddin at the train station right before intermission-loved it.

when she goes to meet the guy who is paralyzed(at the hospital) AA GAYEE USKI MAA-goose bumps(she should play a negative role some day,that smirk on her face was perfect)

Sridevi and Nawaz at the art gallery-modern art depicting draupadi bathing her hair with dushasana's blood(zara tasveer se tu nikal ke saamne aa😆nawazuddin is amazing)

the rape scene though not graphic was scary because of the BG music and the following scene where one of the boys dumps and kicks her in the gutter was heart breaking :/

climax scene is predictable and filmy but I guess that's what makes it a Bollywood movie and I wouldn't want it any other way..the daughter finally uttering the word MOM reminded me of munni screaming maama in bajrangi bhaijaan😭

PERFORMANCES

Adnan siddiqui-impressive and restrained performance.his scenes with on screen daughter sajal look very real and sweet.

Sajal ali is excellent as the daughter who shows no emotion towards her step mom and calls her mam' at home too and her scenes after the trauma are very effective.

Nawazuddin-anything left to say about this ACTOR?from his get up to his mannerisms plus his dialogues,everything is perfect👏

Akshaye Khanna-good looking cop.we need to see more of him.his role could have been scripted better but he like always does a more than decent job plus looks too cool😎

and now the HERO of the movie-the one and the only SRIDEVI⭐️diction ka thhoda problem laga for a sabharwal from Delhi.jaldi KATAM karo nahi srideviji KHATAM karo😛 but her acting, her expressions, her eyes do everything so diction jaaye tel lene.She is like Amitabh Bachchan of the 80s,saans ruk jaane ke baad bhi waapas aa jaati hain hamari hero👏she deserves an award for her performance⭐️

Sridevi's name-Devaki(Lord Krishna's mother).how a step mother devaki becomes yashoda to her daughter.she is a modern day mom and the avenger for the culprits who harm her child.there is no message of NO means NO or Yes means Yes like PINK.Rather it's as simple as DO NOT MESS with a MOTHER.you harm her child in any way and you get to see her wrath.

Bhagwan har jagah nahi hota hai... Issi liye toh usne maa banayi hai👏

one last thing-just like the watchman,bobbitize all rapists..

the first scene of the biology class was the best-Guess why?😎😳

Really good collection given the genre of the movie 😃

Sridevi is one of the best actresses in India , no doubt.
My fav scene in the movie is the dining table scene , " Aaa gayi uski maa" scene and the father daughter scene was remarkable.
Nawazuddin is brilliant as usual . He was DK throughout the movie 👏 The painting galore scene was hilarious . I love the way the revenge was executed , the sadist in me feels that Mohit got the worst but apt punishment and I wish the last one got similar punishment too , but no complaints .The rape scene, though not graphical it was disturbing , moving car , BG music , it had more impact than actually showing the scene .
I would say the trauma of the victim was narrated realistically 👏Sajal ,if she was an Indian many leading new generation actress should feel threatened . She is beautiful and talented .
I felt that the second breakdown scene of Devaki , holding her tummy was over dramatic , that is the only complaint I have with the movie.

I wish they had shown Arya and Devaki going back to school and their dad dropping them off . I needed that happy family moment .

@Kamla- The crying scene had huge impact on me. Art has different impact on different people !!

I agree , my friend almost cried watching that scene . I am used to subtle acting , might be the reason I found it over dramatic.
Regarding the happy family moment . I wish at the end they have shown a happy moment of the mother, father and two daughters, but they left it to our imagination I guess. When Arya got to know the punishment of the third person she shared her wish to go for a vacation , that means she willingly stepped out of the house and I assume with the death of the last culprit she will overcome all the fear and inhibitions.
