Ranbir Kapoor To Sign More Mature Roles From Now

Ranbir Kapoor is a versatile actor and we all know that. But ever since he ventured into the film industry with Saawariya (2007), he has more often played chocolate boy roles at his innocent best. Well, it seems like the heartthrob is done with such typical lovey-dovey roles and look forward to essay more powerful characters.



"This is going to be my last childlike film, Ranbir stated during the launch of the trailer of his upcoming movie Jagga Jasoos'. "I will be turning 35 next year. Thus, it's imperative that I perform age-appropriate roles in my future films, he added.



According to reports, Sanjay Dutt had recommended Ranbir when the latter had signed up the Dutt biopic to take up more macho roles. The Naam actor had asked the Roy star to trade his chocolate boy image for the quintessential hero that saves the day to reach to the audience better. We speculate if Ranbir's decision comes after contemplating Sanjay's advice or is it the post break-up effect that's urging him make more mature choices.



But for now, we'll get to see the innocent Ranbir soon as his much-delayed film Jagga Jasoos' will finally hit the theatre on July 14. Directed by Anurag Basu, the movie will star Katrina Kaif as the female lead.

Am I crazy or didn't he and the director say that JJ was the start of a franchise?? I just watched the interview!!

Jagga Jasoos Synopsis

Feeling abandoned, Jagga's only contact with his father is a VHS tape that he receives in the mail every year on his birthday. Armed with sharp detective skills, Jagga sets out to solve the mystery of his missing parent.
