With all due respect to SRK, I think he's not interested in movies anymore, he loves to be in the limelight which he's so it doesn't matter to him what kind of films he churns out and how he's criticized. Moreover he's money minded too and since none of his films apart from
Chennai express has satisfied the ideal box office outcome for a Khan film it's confusing him more. Since CE he tried to do everything, nonsense like HNY, tried to cash in nostalgia with both fan and dilwale, tried to do masala potboiler like Raees, even tried something subtle like Dear Zindagi but sadly none of these films stood out as sth which will be remembered.

With the the race of being a top hero plus satisfaction of being one of the richest in the world, he's lost the identity of an actor. Ofcourse it doesn't matter as long as his fans are happy and claim that he's this and that but again we have seen how Salman had been trashed a lot for his bad choice of films by SRK fans here so there's no mercy now.

On a personal front SRK films don't interest me, in fact doesn't interest any of my relatives or family so I can say that I'm
Not bothered. He's still one of the biggest stars of the industry and he's been here for two decades so he deserves the respect and love which his fans shower on him. People will complain, it won't end even if he wins a national award now, so it's better to not bother and either ignore him or support him as a fan.

Salman has come a long way, I hope he at least tries to make better films even if tube light fails, one good film in two years won't hurt his stardom.

When Sultan and Raees teasers were released together, I felt Sharukh will make a come back. But Raees with its theme lost family audience. I did not bother about Fan's collection, as it was not a mainstream movie.

DZ was watchable, but it was not a mainstream movie. Sharukh shined in his extended cameo. But first time I felt, he is looking tired (in a movie).

I had high hopes from JHMS, from the director of JWM. But teasers have made me disappointed. They give too much of RK/RS vibe than a Sharukh film. When a super star starts acting like a wannabe, it implies he is coming down. (At the end of his first innings, AB Sr was copying Govinda). I am accepting finally. Sharukh cannot reach the top any more.

No. Imtiaz just doesn't make the sort of universally appealing films that SRK needs in order to make a dhamaka at the box office. What this film might do though is maybe back appreciation of his audience who he disappointed courtesy the Farah Khan and Rohit Shetty films but let's see.

Well let's see:

SOCHA NA THA [2005] - Abhay Deol made his debut and won rave reviews. Due to his performance in this film, he was signed on to OYE LUCKY! LUCKY OYE! which went on to win several National Awards

JAB WE MET [2007] - Shahid Kapoor scored his biggest hit after 5 years in the industry. He got his first Filmfare Best Actor nomination. As well as IIIFA, Screen, Zee and all other major award shows.

LOVE AAJ KAL [2009] - Saif Ali Khan scored the biggest hit of his 16-year career too, as a lead. Also earned him a Best Actor nomination at Filmfare. This was the peak of his career.

ROCKSTAR [2011] - Ranbir Kapoor - where should I start?? The film not only won him Best Actor but also Critics Choice at Filmfare. That had only ever happened once in history (by Amitabh Bachchan). This film finally turned him into a super star.

HIGHWAY [2014] - Randeep Hooda, for years his talent was overlooked but with this film he was finally recognised en masse. He also received several nominations. And has been in the best phase of his career since.

TAMASHA [2015] - Ranbir Kapoor - the film gave him the best reviews of his career. He was nominated (and many felt he should've won) for many awards. This film put him back on track after 2-3 flops.

Thats all subjective and the only relevant hero RK is hanging on by a thread. The rest of their careers are in a ditch somewhere 😆
