I've been keeping up with Tubelight promotions and he is significantly leaner than he is in the movie. The weight loss is very apparent.

Personally I think the added weight works for Salman in Tubelight. It makes him look younger and definitely adds to the innocence of the character.

So what if he is overweight. He is 52 yo. Its crazy to expect them to be in shape at that age. Expect the actors in 20s /30s to be in good shape, n hope the actors 50+ to be healthy. When you think about it Reema Lagoo was just 58 when she died.

The day salman does father roles like reema lagoo did mother roles no one will be trolling him! But the fact that he is presented as a young hero in every movie and he gets a hot young girl opposite him?? Yeh! I guess then he needs to take care of his weight!

Just off topic, do u know Ram Kapoor ? With his size he gets to play lead role in tv serials opposite 18 yr heroine like Prachi Desai. 😛 Audience is happy with it. 😆

But I agree with you, everyone should try to remain fit, not become dried dates but just fit enough, like Akki 😃
