SPB is today's singer !!! VERY MUCH today's singer... anyone who's a telugu person would know he can still kick ass even today (he's been performing until recently on stage on a programme 'Swarabhishekam')

..but yes, I belong to the minority that isn't much of a fan of his hindi singing.. He's nice...!😳 ..but I prefer him singing in telugu.

@Bold

For me, it is Tamil and Telugu.

In honor of you my girl, a great Telugu classic from the SPB 50 concert in Chicago

Sorry for sounding melodramatic, but I had tears in my eyes.. no words... many many thanks for sharing, sweets :)

kinda off-topic, but these days whenever I listen to evergreen classic telugu songs(mostly 80s-mid 90s) from those days.. it's different, the way they touch my heart.. I'm not finding that feel I get from those songs anywhere in any music.. perhaps it has to do with me being telugu, IDK... Music was really top-notch, the music and esp. the vocals we heard from those semi-classical songs, were at their peak in history of music.. Not undermining music from other eras or other languages, there's spectacular music everywhere that makes me high, gives feels and shit but ...the 'feel' from evergreen telugu music is what is really unlike other, I start tearing up sometimes .. so overwhleming.. perhaps it's the telugu link..

Yeah because when SPB lends his voice the actor needs to show some intensity. 😛

You're welcome dear. And @Bold, I completely agree. For me it is Tamil first and Telugu next. We left India when I was a kid, I've hardly visited India but what powerfully connects me to it is music and film music is one such. I have to thank my parents for that. But this is more than music to me, this is soul stirring stuff for me. Pardon the melodramatics too. 😳
