This case is easy and cakewalk. I don't understand why people are hoping that someone will get punished .
Bishnoi community has fought a long battle. Sadly they will lose.

Bold - I think technically he is not... Not according to the law atleast. as he was only convicted for illegal possession of arms and was exonerated of any involvement in the conspiracy of the Mumbai blasts (despite evidence to the contrary)

Pallavi, RR is a different case, he received life imprisonment. The movie was not a biopic. It was not about his friends, his father etc.
Had Sanjay been in jail leading the ordeal to its final conclusion I would have understood the rationale behind this biopic. Also only if the movie's theme revolved around '93 blasts and Sanjay's involvement.

But it seems like this is about whitewashing Sanjay, a gift of his empathy for his friend, so now I see why Hirani was so keen on making the biopic.
