We are still talking about the dress?

It's not a coincidence that PC threads started getting more attention after particular incident. First Jacket gate now legs gate. To be neutral I will add it's both sides playing, and even likes on posts easily reveal that.

Formal wear includes sari, the ones which are worn in a way where you can hide your cleavage and stomach.

Formal western wear includes skirts. But it's sober, no summer frills.

Who said that ? I am from the USA. There are people here, christian people, white people who will not let their daughters wear a dress without wearing pants underneath. There is something called a modest swimming suit not among muslims, but among conservative christians. They are religious and some of them even cover their heads.They are not Amish but regular church going evangelical christians. There are black women who will go to church wearing a dress and hat with stocking even in the heat of summer. Most men wear a suit to church even in they are farmers who wear overalls the rest of the week. There is a dress code for a funeral. Wear color and see the looks you get. People wear black and sober clothes.

Try wearing flip flops and shorts to court and see what happens. They will throw you out. There is a dress code for a lot of things, even in schools. Some churches will not let you get married if you don't cover the shoulders so many off shoulder bridal dresses will be sold with a bolero jacket for church that can be taken off for the reception. USA has all these so called -rubbish laws. Most people dress in suits in Wall street. Few dress like Mark Zuckerberg. The CEO of Microsoft USA is an Indian origin Satya Nadella from Andhra, CEO of Google a guy from Madurai Tamil Nadu Sundar Pichai and Indra Nooyi CEO of Pepsi originally from Chennai. These are top business people. Google and see how they dress. Now tell me there is no dress code in the USA.
