Albela (1951) is sad case of what happens when movie sells for peanuts and becomes huge hit. Poor Bhagwan could never get his hands on that money. 😳

Who among younger generation has highest Box office appeal? Whose movie are getting sold at higher price? 😊

There is this guy in other forum who claim to be working in BOI has given this formula by BOI for giving ATBB to films. This has been explained from HAHK to BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN.

Movie name - distributed share

Hum aapke hain koun - 51.88 cr

Ddlj - 34.67 cr

Raja hindustani - 27.89 cr

Border - 25.70 cr

Kkhh - 29.88 cr

Gadar - 54.67 cr

3 idiots - 98.55 cr

Dhoom 3 - 141.92 cr

Pk - 169.80 cr

Bajrangi bhaijaan - 162.19 cr

Yearly ticket prices

1994 - 11.05

1995 - 14.37

1996 - 15.70

1997 - 17.92

1998 - 19.66

2001 - 26.66

2009 - 78.63

2013 - 109.75

2014 - 117.89

2015 - 125.97

BOI declare atbb verdict by this formula-

Average ticket price release year 1.25=distributed share

Hahk 11.051.25=13.81 cr

Ddlj 14.371.25=17.96 cr

Rh 15.701.25=19.62 cr

Border 17.921.25=22.40 cr

Kkhh 19.661.25=24.57 cr

Gadar 26.661.25=33.32 cr

3 idiots 78.631.25=98.28 cr

Dhoom 3 109.751.25=137.19 cr

Pk 117.891.25=147.36 cr

Bajrangi bhaijaan 125.971.25=157.46 cr

So all movies distributed share is upper in it so declare atbb

Kabhie khushi kabhi ghum d.s. - 36.35 cr

Calculate- 26.661.25=33.32

But it not declare ATBB because gadar was declared ATBB.

Sultan d.s. - 158.50 cr

Calculate -1321.25=165cr so blockbuster

Now if we calculate as per above formula

ATP 2016 = 132 (this is expected, might be close)

Min. Share required for ATBB - 132x1.25 = 165 Cr

Dangal has 182 Cr SHARE, so it is ATBB

same goes for Bahubali 2

The above formula if applied to earlier Big Hits ATBB would give more clear picture as if this formula is right or wrong. Also, what is this 1.25, how come this value is same from 1994 to 2016, this gives doubt about this formula. If u see, K3G was clear ATBB, which BOI hasn't given, again another doubt in this formula.

Lot's of analysis can be done, but 1 concrete formula couldn't be formulated, reason is Non-Existence of Actual Selling price of film, then by what means Distributor further sell films circuit wise.

Wish any website can come forward with more transparent info to reflect these verdicts on these films.

At present only 2 stars - Varun Dhawan & Tiger Shroff. Varun has proven by giving 100% Success, ready for big projects ... Tiger has grabbed 2 big action films for 2018, Rambo will be his 1st big budget action flick.

PRICE @ Which young stars films are SOLD are not that high which will raise eye-brows. Varun's films are sold as per star caliber. Among his peers, his films would have been fetching highest. Ranbir is above all, he is down, but if his film generate hype like YJHD, it will be next highest after big stars. Tiger's both films in 2018 will be higher, coz they will create enough buzz among masses (where tiger hold strong).

100% Occupancy aati thi pehle... In Single Screens, 90's, 80's mein... abhi ke time pe khaali 2 films hai jo close 90-95% tak open hui - Ek Tha Tiger & Dhoom 3.

Pehle ki 100% BUMPER Opening waali thi:
