You can't get that unless u r situated in Mumbai. This info is not circulated normally, only ppl in distribution & Exhibition of films get this kind of details.

Bollywood has close gaurd this for long time, coz that will force them 2 pay tax in actual profit.

You can try seeking service from COMSCORE kind of website, they don't give it to everyone, but when they do, i have heard they have some detailed info.

This is that film which has scored HIGHEST NETT / GROSS more than every single film released before it. Right now it is Dangal, previous was PK.

BOI has changed it's concept of giving ATBB Verdict. One thing which should be considered for ATBB is 300% profit from investment.

That 300% ka calculation is very confusing... coz each film is sold & purchased in different way.

Why overseas box office collection isn't considered when announcing movie is hit?

Many movies are promoting that they have already made profit through satellite etc etc so why is this not factored in the status of a movie being hit or flop?

Sorry I am a box office beginner 😆

VERDICT

This is based on film's DOMESTIC performance, coz of it's origin. Origin means from where it is made & projected for Target Audience.

Overseas Collections comes Secondary, you can't get any kind of change due to OS performance, or else Balance will be misplaced.

I will give u example:

KHAMOSHI - 1996 Film

That is HIGHEST GROSSER film in OVERSEAS, bigger than RAJA HINDUSTANI which was ATBB in India & Highest Grosser here.

So now, if KHAMOSHI's verdict is changed from FLOP to HIT & that will give all together different image. MAJORITY of Audience for that film is from INDIA, yet OS's coll will change that verdict?

Now with CHINA BOOM, Footfalls of OS Films like Dangal, PK, D3, 3 Idiots, also increased, but that doesn't mean whole OVERSEaS?

If for say 100 ppl watch film in INDIA, OVERSEAS that figure is 20-40 only. So BOI Goes with INDIA Performance.
