I see a pride and prejudice between Devasena and Sivagami.. It's Devasena's pride that makes the woman that she is.. It's because she's good in her intentions, she stands strong by her opinion/decisions knowing that she's right and that's her pride.. And Amarendra can see that in Devasena and there goes his strong faith and deep love for her.. Sivagami too would have loved Devasena for the same traits if not for her prejudice on Devasena.. From the beginning the encounter between these two have not been smooth and it only added to Sivagami's quick judgement about Devasena's pride coming out as arrogance and power control.. This made her make bad decisions about Devasena one after the other thus making Devasena's notion about Sivagami and Mahishmathi true.. Keeping her pride intact because she was right.. And Amarendra too saw that the truth was at Devasena's side and Mahishmathi ruling was slipping off.. Not just because Devasena but he can see that happening right in front of him under the nose of Sivagami and Sivagami being blind about it all..

Amarendra was never caught between the women but he was caught between the right and wrong, and it's unfortunate that Sivagami was at wrong and he had to rebel against her.. And Sivagami couldn't see her upbringing behind it but saw it as Devasena's impact behind it... Too bad and very unfortunate that everything worked in favor of the evil...

He would have loved his son and deva

He would have surely apologized to deva for leaving her all alone in their journey

He would have caressed her hair and wiped deva's tears and kissed her as she would go through mixed emotios when she sees her

He would have asked mahendra to always give saath of dharma and be a good ruler, bring pride to him and mahishmati, would have surely asked to take care of his love deva😭

and lot more... I love amarendra, it was heart wrenching when he was killed

Totally agree with this analysis. Amarendra was caught between right and wrong, and he stood up for the right.

thats a hard question considering how things ended in the movie...

i guess he would just hold her and their son in his arms for the most part...and say "Devasena, don't ever think im gonna...im always gonna live on..right here (keeps his hand on her heart) and i know you will guide my son in the right path...just like his father..."

and probably add "thank you for always being there and im sorry"
