If this had been asked of a politician I would have a different reaction because I think they need to be informed of issues of national concern. Not a celeb. Their job is to act, nothing else. Some choose activism, but it is a choice. Not everyone wants to do that. And most importantly he did not open his mouth and say something without knowing the issue which is what responsible people do, celeb or not.
Well as a young citizen, he does have certain responsibilities and I presume he is mature adult.
I would avoid the sexist tag and refer as the journalist. The journalist asked an opinion about the burning topic of national concern and that does not call for refrain. As I wrote earlier, the LEAST he could have done was say I stand by my country. Who cannot say this, is easy to decipher. It doesnt take a scientist;s brain to speak that. Children in school will tell you that, and if SSR is not equating with them too, then surely he is a braggart. The said journalist politely requested him to speak his mind but he kept his attitude high. These stars would be the first to blabber against nonsensical topics and issues which really require them to keep SHUT, for eg the intolerance debate, cow slaughter etc.
Every responsible citizen should know about burning issues of National interest. I rest my point.
