There has always been increase in ticket price whenever Khan/Roshan film has released

Be it Dangal, Sultan, HNY, PRDP - There was a price hike then also!

These excuses are baseless...

I went to watch the film yesterday night (Tuesday night - working day) and it was a FULL HOUSE! Thats rare - especially for a dubbed film. Lets celebrate this milestone in Indian cinema

Normally inflated ticket price for big event film is done in it's 1st Weekend... Only Aamir's ATGs & Bahubali 2 has inflation for whole 1st Week... You get HYPE on quoting figures like 121 Cr Day 1... 1000 Cr in 10 Days... what u gonna get, more audience...

Never heard some one going for a movie because it made this much numbers on 1st day, 1st week etc.

At least i never went for a movie based on what it earned. In college days, 9/10 times i went for FDFS and now when i am working, mostly go on 1st weekend.

Trailer seals the deal for me. :)

1047 Cr in 10 days Worldwide = 104.70 Cr = $30 plus ticket rates overseas... which they reduced it to $15/$20 after milestone 1000 Cr was achieved...

So ab Salman fans Aamir ke kandhe pe bandook rakh ke chala rahe hai? Now they are bhai bhai as some third movie have topped 😆

BOI have always been biased against Aamir. Somehow they don't like him no matter how his movies have been breaking records in last decade and he have been the number one superstar.

Look at their recent article headline on Dangal about china:

"Dangal Hits 11 Million Dollars In China"

All time record breaking and such a cold title. For other khans they will put so much of butter and hype in the title.

Why are you so worried? Once Tubelight releases it will overtake Bahubali2 as Salman is a bigger star than Rajamouli+Bahubali. Salman apne dost Aamir ka badla Rajamouli se lega.

Arey yaar, what is the problem now? Accept it or not, it has broken records which will be tough to be beat. 2.0 can come closer. But don't think it can beat these records and so what if it is there.

Regarding ticket prices, it was hiked only in few places and people were ready to pay. In my place prices were hiked only for the opening weekend, and in many places it was at normal price. So, it just shows that people want to watch, not once or twice. There are people who have watched 3-4 times and many such people!

You accept or not, numbers won't change and this movie will remain no.1 for a long time!

Yeah, that's the case.

Bahubali 2 has become a sensation all over India and the Indian diaspora. That's the reason why BOI has included it in their database. The Hindi version alone will cross 450 crores and worldwide gross will be around 1500 crores. There is no way a box-office site would ignore such a phenomenon.

Bahubali 2 is as big an ATBB as some of India's biggest ATBBs ever (Kismet, Rattan, MI, MEA, Sholay, and HAHK). It has surpassed Gadar as the biggest ATBB of the century. You can't leave such a movie out of the database. It would be insane.

How much did Bahubali 1 collect in Hindi? Wasn't it around 150 crores? Bahubali 1 wasn't as big a rage as Bahubali 2 is all over India. The collections of Bahubali 1 was huge in the South, but not as big in North India, hence, BOI didn't include it.

I do believe that BOI should dedicate a page to international/dubbed movies. It's unfair to Robot that few realize that it broke 3 Idiot's all-India net collections within 6 months. But the dubbed (Hindi) version of Robot was not as big, hence, the exclusion.

On Jungle Book not being there, Bahubali 2 is an Indian film. TJB collected around 185-190 crores in India, which is huge for an international movie, but here Bahubali 2 has collected around 1000 crores gross in India alone. Can't compare the scale.

Bahubali 2 is an Indian film that worked universally all over India. It's among those 6-10 movies that have become pan India sensations. A boxoffice site wouldn't ignore it, especially when it has crossed the net collections of every Hindi movie since HAHK (adjusted for inflation).

Tubelight may do well, but it won't come anywhere close to Bahubali's worldwide collection. Hindi version alone is a big, big ask. Bahubali 2 will finish at 450+ crores. That's not possible for Tubelight.

If we talk about real potential, Bahubali is easily a 500+ crore grosser (10% market wasn't there for Hindi version). It's the same as Bajrangi Bhijaan coming a week after Bahubali 1, which negated it's real market value (around 340-345 crores).

Even for Aamir's movie (TOH), it would be difficult (Hindi version). After Bahubali 2, I'm sure Aamir, Victor, and YRF will up the ante with those action sequences on ships in the middle of Indian ocean, some stellar VFX scenes, and all, but if the movie doesn't have an emotional connect like Bahubali 2, it won't work universally.

Bahuballi 2's 1000 crores gross in India is perhaps a record that will stay for 5 years (unless someone comes up with another mythology-based movie before that).

I will agree with the fact that there is no need for anybody to start screaming anti-bollywood and anti-Khans..just because BB and BB2 are a phenomena. Bollywood is still a huge industry and has produced some of the greatest movies and Khans are still ruling prime.

But that also does not take away anything from the fact that Bahubali is a mammoth epic! try twisting it however you want to, but nobody outside or even within this forum will buy it or care about it.
