I think that there has been some grave misunderstanding.😆Neither of the two shows is anywhere related to BB or BB2.

I am a bit leery about TV serials though. I love the Jodha Akbar movie, the TV series was terrible. IDK about this actress, hope she is good as Anushka was excellent. I don't watch serials but I would love to watch this if it is good.

Oh God don't remind me of Jodha Akbar, I watched it at the beginning and it was OK considering the daily show format and then went completely off the rails with a chudail/Dayan trying to seduce Akbar and her mother doing black magic on him! 😕

I hope it's a weekly show so they can concentrate on the content and keep the episodes tight and to the point and hope they spend a decent amount on special effects, don't need a those horrible CGI effect of Naagin.
India has so much mythological and historical material that can be shown via TV but they daily soap like OTT drama spoils it.

The last good historical drama I watched was Siyasat on Epic Channel. Unfortunately only had a season, its on Netflix and I highly recommend it. Good story telling no washing down characters to make them look good or great, showing all the dirty politics being played between kin for personal glory and gain.

I loved the initial episodes but then my liking faded slowly when they reduced Akbar to a puppet at Jodha's hands and then slowly made Jodha lose her brain

It shouldn't air on Star Plus. The channel will ruin it for TRPs.
