Dangal for me. Just because the Bahubali movies are not my type of genre.

If the four movies you mentioned are not classics, I wonder what to do classics actually look like. No dig on you, your opinion, but if universally loved and critically acclaimed movies are not classics, than what is classic I just wondering.

It's just my opinion. I don't find these movies as classics and I wonder if they had got so much appreciation of it didn't starred a Superstar.

what is classic according to you. Classic for me is movies which are loved, appreciated and adored by a large section of people from different backgrounds and different classes and have found there place in not only pop culture but also day to day discussions. Bajrangi Bhaijaan, PK, Dangal and Bahubaali have it in them.

My definition of Classic is also the same but along with that, it should also pass the test of time and should be remembered, praised and discussed by the coming generations as well. I don't see any of these movies being praised after 20 years like they are being praised now, excluding Baahubali.

DZ

if you will see this scene

it closely resemblance of Lord Krishna been taken from water by his father after his birth...a spin off kind...

i found the vfx of tv serial siya ke ram more authentic and real than Baahubali 1 and 2 ...hope you have seen it...the sets of kingdom of ravaan...the sets of ayodhya the garden of ayudhya i bet it if one had the chance of seeing it in 35mm canvas...it would had been more appealing

and that too in less cost...so yes i do wonder even after such wastage of money one is little bit disappointed...

Both. For different reasons. But you can't just watch either of the films for simply one time and be satisfied. They deserve multiple viewing. And donon mein seete bajaane ka mann karta hai. 😳

@FITB Yes that scene does resemble Vasudev carrying Krishna in Yamuna
No I did not watch SKR show...I think that scene in BB2 where they are going to Mahishmathi in a ship...there is a song sequence...and then the ship flies in the air. with wings ..that whole sequence is ethereal

First, they are not movies that to be compared. Both were of different genres. I did enjoy Dangal, a good story and it made me proud as an Indian. But, probably there will always be a film like Dangal again. Bahubali was once in a lifetime movie and I'm biased because of my favorite actors being in it and my favorite director. And the grandeur and goosebumps it gives, can be watched numerous times in theaters. So, any day Bahubali is above Dangal despite both being good movies, execution is better in the former.
And keeping aside everything, Bahubali is a classic. Period. It has made its mark in Indian Film History!
