Great point! I totally forgot about that, He did point out that in that case his mom was wrong, thus he stood on the side of the truth and on devasena's side.

The kind of adulation and love he enjoys in his kingdom is also because of the fierce way he stands up for the right against the wrong, regardless of who is on which side...His quest for the truth is simply awe inspiring! Which is probably why he never had a complaint against anybody, be it his wife or his mom, as he knew what exactly he was going after and why!

Every scene, I mean LITERALLY every scene in which Devasena and Amarendra were in the same frame- they absolutely put the screen on fire...Even the last scene when Devasena was in the labor pains and Amarendra was rushing to help Kattappa, when they were both so absorbed in their own problems, they still managed to look so in sink with each other...

In the entire film Devasena lost the most...she lost her husband...she faced pain for so long..she missed seeing her child grow...

7) The whole song on the boat and the kiss in the end
8) Baahu standing for devasena against sivagami, even at the expense of losing his crown
9) The whole coronation scene where the people and all the army are cheering for baahubali
10) When Devasena berates sivagami and asks baahubali to become king instead
11) When Devasena cuts that guy's fingers off
12) When Baahubali comes and cuts off his head instead. 👏
13) When Baahubali and Devasena walk out of the palace and the song in the background
14) The whole sequence of baahubali interacting with his people, he was so happy during that time
15) When Kattappa kills baahubali 😭
16) The scene where Kattappa gives baahu's blood to sivagami
17) Soldiers being launched off the trees into the fort
18) The ending fight sequence of mahendra and bhalla on the ground
19) When Devasena sets bhalla on fire! 😈

In addition, Kumar was also a great character! All in all, full on paisa vasool entertainment. And I think Baahubali/Devasena might be one of my MOST favorite romantic pairs ever! They were just SO good together!

You mentioned nearly all of my favourite scenes, will just add a few more

1. The introduction scene of Devasena and Amarendra going into a trance 😆

2. Sivagami touching Devasena's feet after Amar is killed

3. When Devasena crosses the water body by stepping on Bhalla's severed statue head

4. At the end, when Mahendra sticks the sword on Bhalla's thigh and they both face each other

@ Springkissed - So true on Baradwaj Rangan's review and that mating dance . It was so perfect.I love how it was placed amidst a battle and not the usual touchy feely ones. Also even I had the same question The equation between Devasena and Bhalla was never explored much .

It's a mark of their innate sense of dharma and what's right that they both didn't linger too much on how baahu lost his throne. Devasena was outraged that sivagami promised her hand to bhalla without her permission or even asking her once, she had no right. That was her self respect and innate sense of right that kept her from wallowing in that initial guilt for too long, however misplaced. And at the same time, baahu was just as sure on why he chose devasena's side, he knew his mother was wrong in this instance therefore he would not break his promise. It also shows his mental and inner strength. Honestly, both their characters reminded me so much of mahabharat's drapaudi and yudhishtir in that scene, with draupadi standing up for her rights as shatriyani and yudhishtir's respect for his elders and utter deference to following dharma first and foremost.

But, yes, she got no closure. 😭 Though she considered her son living as her husband living when she says that to sivagami when they are trying to escape and she is too hurt to go.
