Here in US, the theaters are running house full on the weekday evenings...😲...that's definitely a first...and the prices are at least 2.5 times over the local and hindi movies...Usually they reduce the price after the release weekend is over but this is the first time they didn't bother to reduce the prices until now but still people are willing to pay...Now what do you have to say about that?

You said it yourself... $ 7 Dollar ticket selling at $ 21 Dollars... pehle hi Dollar 64 rs ka hota hai... phir WORLWDIE GROSS ke danke bajte hai... itna kar diya... karegi hi 5 days mein =)) 😆

But I still didn't understand the problem...

If everything is being done legally in the open and people are not being forced or dragged to the theaters, what exactly is the problem if they want to make more money?

1. This HUGE HUGE HUGE Favor given in SOUTH for this film is BIASED approach from STATE Goverment, it should be similar for all films not just this film.

2. You want to project a film in this way, make way for other films also. When Hindi films releases they impose TAX, no favors.

This is unfair in this way... Assume

100 ppl went to see Bahubali 2 in 5 days = X Collection

100 ppl went to see HINDI Film in 5 days = Y Collection - TAX - Not all had ETP

Ppl went to see same or less, media / makers projecting this success bigger than those grossers which were not having this kind of help... above all Crew member of same film speaks bullshit for bollywood.

You have made so many valid points . No one will care to see the unethical blackmail of increased ticket price that Bahubali 2 has done, all over the world .
Yes people want to see the movie, sometimes hey are willing to shell out extra money as well. This was a rarest of rare case.
Let them celebrate so called downfall of BW . Truth vs Hype battle will be won by Truth only.

I am no BO record person like you, but say what you will, there is a fundamental economic saying which goes like "Something is worth what someone is willing to pay". The fact is people, a large amount of people of different nations, various languages and different viewing habits decided that this movie was worth the price charged at a time when piracy is rampant.

People paid $25 for Kabaali, I was one of them. That was for a star, Rajni. Same as people pay fr Khans. I pay for them too. This movie challenges the basic holiday/stardom logic of most movie industries. Like HW learned, the movie star is more or less no more there. People come now for movies like Avengers, Fast and Furious, Harry Potter. The product is king, the story not the star. This movie is a warning to not just BW but the South too. The days of the movie star ending is fast approaching so better learn to tell a story properly and people will pay if they perceive value.

Q - Tell us Top 5 HIGHEST GROSSING Telugu film before Bahubali 1 & 2?

Why i am asking this question is... coz whichever collection they were... They were never matched in any way with Bollywood...

Even in other languages... what has happened in terms of Box Office

- 1st film to score 1 Cr in India - Bollywood - Kismet

- 1st Film to score 1 Cr on opening day - Bollywood - Trimurthi

- 1st Film to cross 10 Cr opening day - Bollywood - Ghajini

- 1st Film to cross 20 Cr opening day - Bollywood - Bodygaurd

- 1st Film to cross 30 Cr opening day - Bollywood - Ek Tha Tiger

Every film in 1 language & with all TAX CUT

For the 1st time in history, we are seeing TELUGU Version of BAHUBALI 2 making Box Office collection which is beyond even reach - 50+ Cr 1st day

HINDI + SOUTH Version Combined FIGURES Float kar kar ke joki waise hi ETP se aayi houn... don't compare it with Bollywood, coz woh 1 film 1 language mein bhi dhamaal kar jaati hai.

Lakhan - I want to know one thing. Hindi audience watched Bahubali and supported it fully. How many good Hindi movies , dubbed in South Indian language are supported whole heartedly by audience in South? Did they give a good BW movie free run at BO?
If Bahubali 2 is successful, it is coz Hindi audience and BW is supporting the movie .
