I didn't get why there was so much hype abt Bahubali... for, the most part of the movie, it had the typical larger than life grand entries / introductions of the main characters... and only in the last 30-45 did the story gain any pace... 🥱

But I may watch Bahubali 2 ...though i haven't made up my mind yet... 😳

That's Makkhi in Hindi. 😛 I really liked Makkhi, as in dubbed in Hindi. Much more than Bahubali. I really like masala movies at times, (because i consider Bahubali just another masala movie with added special affects and hype, glamour). But, this one irritated me to be honest, because I'd seen it with so many expectations, what with the hype around it. But was disappointed, besides I did not connect with the actors.

@TM,
I had the same reaction when I heard about the concept of Eega. The plot of the movie is really illogical, but it's the execution that makes it interesting. The scenes in which the fly troubles the main villain is awestrucking. The visual effects of the movie is also good at the same time. Eega was a flop in Hindi version, obviously as the Bollywood audience can't accept a fly as the hero of a movie.

Well, I am obviously going to watch it in Telugu since it is my mother tongue (although I do understand Tamil too) .. and well, it would be kind of weird watching the Hindi dubbed version.. (although I probably understand Hindi better than Telugu lol)

Despite some issues, I loved the first part, and well, sure it is not some unique story (then again, there are hardly any "unique stories" anymore), But it had themes which were familiar and rooted in Indian tales, and it also incorporated all the flavors expected in South Indian films and well.. it is just nice to have historical fic film shot at such a scale that we can claim .. and it gives me hope that someday we can communicate the awesomeness of Mahabharat to the rest of the world lol...
