note for Kangana Ranaut. As if she had
lesser problems to resolve in her personal
life, her film Rangoon too failed miserably at
the box office leaving her shattered both
personally and professionally. It's
unfortunate how the news is only abuzz
about Kangana's controversies, her
nepotism fight with Karan Johar, her fallout
with Shahid Kapoor; despite knowing she
was once referred to as the Queen' of
Bollywood. Also read: Karan Johar: I am a
fan of Kangana. I didn't call her to my last
party, but I'll call her to my next party
While Kangana is known to be a one-
woman army who can deal with any kinda
situation. This time she is however
regretting the fact she is being targeted for
all the wrong reasons. In interaction with
Mid Day, Kangana reveals how she's
heartbroken after the failure of Rangoon.
She said, "I felt Rangoon's failure was
targeted at me. Various people used that
time of my life to direct their anger at me. I
felt it was unnecessary that when I was
dealing with a vulnerable phase in my
career, they were hitting out at me.
Rangoon was mounted on a humongous
budget and publicised around my character.
When something like that doesn't work, you
do feel like sh**."
Interestingly, Shahid too had a similar
reaction after Rangoon got washed out at
the theaters. When a fan asked him,
"Keeping awards & rewards aside how do
you feel when your film doesn't get
commercial success?", Shahid just prompted
one word, "Shitty".
Kangana believes the last few minutes didn't
come together for Rangoon as she added,
"We missed our shot at creating a glorious
film by a small margin." However, with the
past aside, Kangana has has just completed
the shooting of her next, Simran. "We will
release the first poster in mid-May. I begin
shooting for Manikarnika in June. My
director, Krish, is in Jhansi for a recce. And
the film I will direct is in the last leg of
scripting," said the actress.
