Looks like Salman Khan really wants to see Katrina Kaif's career soar, putting her name in as a suggestion to cast in Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan's next project, Thugs of Hindostan. A source from BollywoodLife reveals: "Salman wants Katrina to play the heroine opposite Aamir Khan in Thugs of Hindostan and hence, he gave her name as a suggestion to the production house. He has already put in a word as he feels that Thugs will be the perfect film for Katrina to be in after Tiger Zinda Hai. Both the films will obviously give a boost to her career and that's what the actor wants. However, everything now lies in the hands of Aditya Chopra and Aamir Khan, who will decide on which actress will be a part of the movie."
Khan and Bachchan's Thugs of Hindostan, based on the novel Confessions of a Thug, is shaping out to be one of the most anticipated projects of the coming year. While all other actors have been finalised and work on the project has begun, the position of the lead actress is still up for grabs. Actresses like Vaani Kapoor, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Parineeti Chopra and even Shraddha Kapoor have
been linked to the movie, with Alia Bhatt appearing as the front-runner for the role. Amidst reports that Alia allegedly turned the role down, Kaif's name might turn the competition around.
However, reports suggest that Aamir Khan doesn't feel comfortable repeating his heroines, which is why Bhatt was in the lead. However, the commercial success of Aamir and Katrina's Dhoom 3 could be enough to sway Aditya Chopra towards considering her for the part. Kaif, last seen in Nitya Mehra's Baar Baar Dekho, could have a double-whammy on her hands with Thugs of Hindostan after finishing up with Salman on Tiger Zinda Hai.
