Anil Kapoor,AB Sr and Akshay are Priyadarshan's closest allies in BW so this award proclamation comes as no surprise.Even the Marathi actor who won supporting actor male is regular presence in Priyan movies😆😆.
Thank God Athiya didnt have a movie in 2016 or else who knows Priyadarshan must have invented a new category to adorn her with glory for sake of his yaarana with Suni Shetty😆

Agree special mention is not given to everyone ...just for rookies who have tried their best in at good movie ...but failed to reach the benchmark.

Why would someone who failed to impress received an award or a distinction? You make no sense imo otherwise it would rain Special Mention every year.

when pari got this..it was used as a huge achievement..now that sonam got this..it is being labelled a consolation price..i don't get it

it clearly is a huge plus..it definitely means your performance was noteworthy..not every one would win the main NA..but for sonam who till 2015 was labelled a fashion icon whom no one ever thought would make it to any list in NA or any other ones..her getting this mention is a huge plus and a big fat accomplishment..

No problem with special mention or whatever but she is going nuts on twitter behaving as she has actually won an award! And people are congratulating her for the 'Award' which she didn't win in the first place!
