😆 its a movie meant for fantasy entertainment. Why bash KJo, there is the super hit Saajan-which was worse- demeaning differently abled and just because the name changes the heroine marries the other guy. Worse🤢 Jeetendra movies were stereotyping women as household maids and procreation source.

Great that today times have changed and we get to see better cinema, there is bakwas but its limited.

That's the power of filmmaker. That all the logic, everything go to hell but people love the movie. Never question it. It's like when u r in love, everything seems rosy.

We were children so we can excuse ourselves but what about the adults? So I would say it's the power of cinema that people emmensely loved them.

i think i liked the movie when it was released.

but this was one of the movies that i fell out of love with in like a month. the movie was damn shallow. this is apparently as good as Kjo can get. bec his subsequent movies were even more atpata

yes i still watch it when ever it airs on TV

all time fav after DDLJ..

but raj and simran >>>> than rahul and anjali

and i guess i already gave my reasons..

simran never wanted to marry kuljeet..

she expressed her feelings openly to her mom..she was literally forced to

before any one draws a parallel between simran and anjali

simran was forced..

anjali chose to marry someone in the name of samjhoota..

Because Simran knew Raj loved her, but Anjali didnt know Rahul actually deep down loved her, she knew Rahul only saw her as his best friend, not as his lover.

How long would Anjali wait or why would she wait for Rahul? She knew he had settled down with Tina. Would she remain unmarried all her life because she didnt get Rahul? She didnt even know Tina had died so why would she have any hope of reuniting with Rahul?

Obviously she would agree to marry Aman as a compromise, to please her mother.

Thousands of Indian girls do that in real life, compromise ka shadi, when they cannot marry the man they love. They listen to their parents and settle down with a random guy.

Whats so strange abt that? Happens all the time in real world.

These movie characters are mostly flawed characters, like Rahul was... because in real life also people are flawed, they get attracted by physical attributes, they cannot recognize true love when they see it, they make mistakes and realize later

That is Life and that is how common humans act and react.

I , even at his worst, will call Rahul silly. Anjali was a pretty good character! She was always in love with Rahul, all her life. But Rahul didn't reciprocate it. Yet she was an extremely important part of his life. Why do you think he named her daughter Anjali long after she was gone? Deep down, he always loved her but never realized it. For him, she was one of his guy buddies..with whom he could play basketball and do all sorts of mischief! He was a silly, typical 20+ wannabe cool dude who wanted a hot gf!
But deep down, it was Anjali who was his soulmate! This movie actually depicted a better story of unrequited love than Adhm.
And as to why, Anjali turned down Aman- because the heart wants what the heart wants! She was never in love with him...so how is that shallow? She would have been shallow, had she chosen a single , handsome Aman over a father of a 9 year old, even though she never really loved Aman! That would have been selfish.
And KKHH is misogynistic! Ahh things you learn everyday!

But you explained well. Tina was an infatuation. And Anjali leaves right after she comes to know about Rahul and Tina. She never gave Rahul time to ponder over.

The train scene explains Rahul's deep feelings so well. Even Tina felt she came in between. That's what she wrote in her letter that she could never become the best friend.

And He named his Daughter Anjali. When Lil Anjali questions him Neelam style..

He says Anjali.. Sharma. There's your another scene where the residual feelings comes out.

Yet, All you read on this forum is.. saree mein dekha lattoo ho gaya.

Rahul and Anjali was meant for each other. Anjali becomes a mother to 9 years old. That's not selfish. If she would have married Aman, that would have been selfish.

And KKHH is the only movie of KJo that makes utmost sense. with heart, soul n story in place.
