DP Returns to Mumbai & on her HW Stint

Deepika Padukone has returned from her US trip and it's all for Zee Cine Awards 2017! We may have kept this as a secret from you folks but the diva will be attending the awards that's currently happening at Jio Gardens in BKC. In case you folks didn't know, the actress was in the US recently, we don't really know why. We had even shared a video grab with you where foreign media had addressed her as Priyanka Chopra instead of Deepika. Anyway, the point being, the diva actually flew down for the awards show! Now isn't that totally sweet? We just checked out mail and found that Deepika had arrived at Mumbai airport. Wearing a really cool outfit, she rushed outside the airport with a big smile on her face. Clearly, she is ecstatic to be back home! Now we do have questions over what's cooking in her life and career but we'll save it for the red carpet.

As you can see, for her airport outing, it was nice to see her in black Tee and pants with an olive hued jacket. She looked lovely. While we've been trying to read between the lines of what her T-shirt says, it has been difficult, thanks to her long tresses. Anyway, you folks can check out the airport pics while we'll track her whereabouts at the awards function! Up until now she hasn't reached the venue.

We were just covering the awards function that is currently happening at Jio Gardens in Bandra. So far a lot of deserving movies have taken home the trophies. Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sunny Leone are already done with their performances. While a lot of celebs are still walking in for the awards, most of the winners have been announced already. We just hope that Deepika reaches the venue on time so we're able to get a glimpse of what she has in store for the fashion police!

Deepika Padukone is now a known name in Hollywood. The actress has carved a niche for herself in an industry that doesn't entertain many Bollywood actresses. Her debut Hollywood film, xXx: Return Of Xander Cage, made good bucks at the international box office and Deepika couldn't be happier.


In an interview with Hindustan Times, speaking about her experience of working in the West, Deepika said, "In the same way, I use my film experience from here in Hollywood. The reason I am able to do what I do in a film like xXx: Return of Xander Cage and be applauded for it, is because of the experience I have had over here."


She also says that the experience wasn't much different from the experience she has had working in Bollywood. She explained, "A film set is a film set, and nothing changes. The creative process is the same. I don't look at them as separate careers. For me, it's a part of the same journey."


However, she also maintained that no experience goes waste and said that she was sure that the Hollywood stint would come in handy some time. She said, "I may not realise that now, but maybe when I walk on to the sets of Padmavati, there will be a moment when I might surprise myself. It might happen in this film, or two years later. So, something that is taken out of this experience may translate into something much later on. Be it professionally or personally " travelling the world, meeting so many people, being exposed to new cultures and just seeing their style of working " all of it has been enlightening."
