There is a strong reaction which comes when Dilwale(2015) is mention, you can't give credit to Varun Dhawan, it is Srk film. Is it Fair enough?
Varun played 2nd hero of the film with Kriti sanon, he wasn't cameo, no special appreance, no guest appearance kind of. Promotions, songs, posters, everywhere it was Varun after Srk-Kajol. Dilwale was cashing on Srk-Kajol pair reuniting after many years, but does it mean give varun or kriti no credit whatsoever. It made 140 cr approx business, 26 M overseas, so does crediting Varun will means he will be superior than his peers in overseas is forcing it to discredit him?
If Varun is not to be credited, so are few stars in few films should not be-
1. Amitabh Bachchan - He delivered 13 flops from his debut film to Zanjeer, his 1st superhit film. His next Blokcbuster was Roti Kapda Makaan. After that he gave Deewar & Sholay. Considering the facts that Manoj Kumar was doing good at that time, Dharmendra was bigger star, Shashi Kapoor was also established star, let's take these 3 films credit from Amitabh?
2. Shah Rukh Khan - His debut film was having Rishi Kapoor, who was still doing hero roles. Baazigar was his next hit film before Darr & Karan arjun became Blockbuster. Both Sunny Deol & Salman Khan was coming from big hits & more experience than Srk, has anyone taken out credit from Srk in those 2 films for playing 2nd hero/main villain?
3. Hrithik Roshan - He played youngest son in K3g, a mega blockbuster in india & overseas, Amitabh & Srk were bigger stars, again more successful, his credit should be taken out?
Like this many examples can be drawn, why is Varun single out so badly that you can't even name Dilwale as his film, in those 140 cr, he deserves credit for bringing 50 cr which is his average for every other film he did other than dilwale.
We should give credit where it is due, it won't make Srk smaller or his stardom any threat from varun.
