Is Alia among the leading lights of b-town?If she is then why is her contribution undervalued?Did Varun get opening day figures not Alia?

Typical BW mentality, mostly credit is given to male actors of the movies...but Alia is equal contributor if not more...and credit goes to her as well...IMHO.

Believe me... it is VARUN's Show all the way... u come out of film & only thing is running on your mind is BADRI's character. Alia wasn't that good in film, Shraddha or other yound actress would have done better than her... This is Varun's film, Varun's success... Completely overshadowed everyone in film.

Udta Punjab & Highway's credit when given solely to Alia Bhatt, then this kind of typical mentallity doesn't come... if a Male Hero comes out winner, play the woman card 😆

She does deserve credit, coming off a successful 2016 she definitely adds value to the film. And if not specially in numbers than in terms of credibility, she's known as a good actress so her presence gives the film a certain respect. Like Varun kept saying during the promotions if you don't believe I'm doing a good film than believe it for Alia cause she only does good work 😆

I think the trade is giving her credit though, from whatever I've read from tweets and articles they're kind of giving it to both of them. That both Varun and Alia have really grown in stardom 😊
