I think she is talking about the modern feminism which is mostly made up feminazis. Half of them don't know what 'rights' they are fight for. One day they do s**t walks and other day they speak up against people for posing provocatively in front of camera. And yes I am talking about the recent issue with Emma watson. Millenials are the problem here to say the truth.

why do I see her going same feminism way few years down the line. (with the way she is going) šŸ˜†[/QUOTE
It's OK people are at liberty to change and evolve as time passes. Gauri Neetu stayed home in the beginning..afterwards they started working..its fine. It's life.

Neetu, Gauri from what I perceive were clear minded people who knew what is life; what knew what to want from life and who knew evolving is a part of life. Or to think you will never change. Well, At least I don't know of any incident when they went beyond merely stating an opinion. No one else judges the other side of coin this way.

Sure, you can be a feminist and make a personal decision to never get an abortion because of your moral objections to it (i.e. be personally pro-life). But if you want to legislate your views and are actively fighting to take away other women's rights to make their own decisions about their bodies? Nah, that's not feminism any way you spin it.

Feminism seeks to give women agency over their lives; people who are pro-life and want to force their views on every woman seek to remove that agency.

Maybe.. but they allowed this narrative to get away from them. And i think they have for sometime cos now you have women who dont even consider themeselves feminists and criticise feminism as it's practiced in US (maybe it was always like that and now this is coming to the forefront because of internet?).
Just the other day, i saw this vdo vdo of a Pakistani woman and most of the comments under it went like this is true feminism and not what the over privileged lot in US peddle 🄱

It doesnt take long for a fringe opinion to become mainstream now... if we aren't careful, feminism and feminist ideals might go down the same road 😔

Bhai .. iska problem kya hai life mein? Born and brought up in super rich family, married to an actor at a young age and probably treated with respect before/after marriage .. does she even knows the hardships that women have had to face because of which the feminism movements were even started?
There are girls who do not get education or food properly even though the boys in their families are fed well and sent to schools. There are women who can't get married because their parents do not have enough money to satisfy the greedy society's demand for dowry. There are women who are burnt alive just because they are women and were supposed to bring in more dowry or were supposed to behave a certain way to oblige their in-laws mean demands. These women are never taught to stand up for themselves or not to oblige to these evil society traditions. They are just taught to go on with life with no matter whatever the shit that is thrown at them. These women need empowerment and most men won't let that happen so easily. If all men had supported women's respect to exist, the issues would have been resolved long long ago. But no .. only a handful support in reality and hence, it is taking forever to see the real change. The remaining ones just do not want this convenient-for-them equation to change. And its not just the rural or small-town or uneducated men. I know literate middle-class men who write long posts on facebook to support feminism and are happy when their wives have jobs and make money too BUT when they reach home, only the wife is expected to cook and do household chores or take care of the children. These guys only babysit children once in a while and that is considered a wow great help thing.
Ye Mira ko Bas heroine banane ka shaunk hai public mein. Nautanki karwa lo aur badi badi baatein karwa lo. Reality mein if you've faced the issues so much that it breaks your existence/self-esteem then you would understand why some women are really so strongly standing up for feminism that they've been termed as feminazis, by of course the same males who have caused the issues in the first place.
And honestly, she is married to Shahid, who doesn't has a very good hit track record at BO himself, neither is he considered an extra-ordinary actor. So, basically I don't get why his wife is even getting that much importance. It's not like landing up with Shahid is actually that big a deal.

You are right, the huge age difference between them is so creepy and seeing Shahid's track record he has always come across as a shitty bf/misogynist (he had once shown Priyanka's revealing pictures to his friends) 🤢 Both Mira and Shahid suck.

It is not the age difference that creeps me out, it's Mira's age. IDK how to explain this. But IMO most women are quite emotionally immature at that age (early 20s) and hence are nowhere near ready for marriage. Hence, it is easier to sort of 'mold' them into any kind of personality desired by the husband. Especially if he is a lot older than the woman & then by default has a greater degree of authority over her. And this status quo will probably never change no matter how mature the woman becomes later on.

If Mira was in her mid-20s for example, and Shahid was in his late 30s, then that is a different ballgame.

So what dahee said is not far from the reality...I see a lot of guys in real life that are like Shahid types marrying the super young girls, cuz it is more beneficial for them.

I saw some "wise" guy sharing this philosophy on Twitter as well. And one pseudo liberal on my TL RTed it. šŸ¤”
