Your words reminded me of yesteryears stalwart, legendary actor Balraj Sahni. He used to play main character roles but went to extremes to understand minute details of a role/character.

I read how he prepared for his role in do bhiga zameen..amazing dedication and he was brilliant in all roles 👏
