Now talking about srk's last two film, damn it I had to google, it scored 140 (approx) & 79, one flopped and the other was at best a Semi-hit (I think). So there you go, a semi-hit beating the highest best of Akki. And I dont want to bring in Overseas Figure, that would be such an embarassment for Akki. 😆

What can I do (even srk cant) if the the producers or directors can't trust akki for High budget film 😆. The fact that Raees at best a Semi-hit is beating akki's superhit says it All who the unquestionable bigger star is. Akki may have superhit 100 crs timea many in a row still doesn't change the fact that it is less than the semi-hit ones on srk

my post was not for you dude , it was a general comment on Akki-SRK status nowadays. Anyways I feel happy when people in my area are like "Akki ki film hogi toh accha hi hoga", for me that is better than anything else. The people around me appreciating my fab. Baki toh thori na mujhe koi Akki apne profit share karega lol.

@Alsoknownas: Buddy Raaes is a masala commercial flick.It is no different than say a Deewar or Coolie. It has OTT action scenes, a movie full of colourful songs, a flowerpot heroine and a basic plot. Yeah it clashed and earned big despite a clash, but still it was a big release, it got 2700-3400 screens(depending on which sites's data you wanna believe). It was not a dark thriller like say Badlapur or GOW. @Khildadi&crew: Jolly LLB2 is also not a multiplex only movie. it released on a big scale. around 3000-3200 screens. Although its favor is it is not a high budget movie wrapped up in only a month with its budget reaching 70 mark only because of Akki's pay.

And what has profits of films got to do with star power? We're talking about the actors here not producers. Shah is years ahead of Akshay. Look at the opening of any shah film, it dwarfs all Akshay films.

Star-power! What star-power? Where's this star-power at the time of Dear Zindagi? Why does Fan open so much lower than HNY? Why does Dhobi Ghat open so much lower than Dhoom 3 or Jai Ho lower than PRDP?

Because there's so much more to an opening including promotions and the scale of a film. SRK pays Sunny Leone and spends crore's on a song for a reason. He spends crores on a promotional train tour for a reason too. While Akki just does a few interviews and releases his film. Expecting a film's promotional budget to not play a part in the opening is just foolish. Hell Raees song + promotions alone are probably more than Jolly's budget(discounting Akshay's fees).

The only thing that matters is how much money your film made vs how much it cost at the end. Also known as profit for the less business savvy and Srk hasn't been making anybody but himself any money for close to 10 years now. Over budget films, massive promotional dollars and under performing box office.

Keep telling that to yourself...maybe one day you will believe it...Buy don't expect the world to agree!!!
