THE battle between two gorgeous women has resulted in defeat for both of them. Deepika Padukone and Kangana Ranaut both did look tests for Iranian legend Majid Majidi's upcoming film that's set in India. The actresses' PR machinery went into overdrive, but unfortunately, neither worked out for the Children of Heaven' director, and he politely told them so immediately. Soon enough, both actresses claimed to have rejected the film on one pretext or the other. Our heart beats for Majidi - he doesn't seem to be having an easy time finding an Indian heroine.

After this PR war, ek baat toh pakka hai..Majidi wapas BW top heroines ko kabhi nahi approach karega. As it is, the parallel cinema actors like Kalki, Huma, Radhika, etc, are better. He should've approached them. He doesn't need big stars to make his movie work.

Now that most people are aware of Majid Majidi, do yourself a favour and watch his films if you never saw any of his movies. Children of Heaven is a good film to start with.

Kangana's PR did say she rejected it because she wasn't happy with the sister's role. Where was Deepika's excuse

I've heard great things about the 'Cinema of Iran or Persia' for years now but haven't watched any

Maybe I'll start with 'Children of heaven', local library has a copy 😊

Heard they work under strict censorship, don't churn out millions of movies every year like us yet produce world class movies consistently

Then again he rejected the most gorgeous actress of BW (possibly HW) and the most talented actress who can give heroes a run for their money... How good can he be 😆
