Solo Holiday release, Festival period... nothing can make sure a film to score BIG.

Non-Holiday Festive release

- Ready - 121 Cr - Blockbuster

- YJHD - 178 Cr - Blockbuster

Clash / Holiday / Non-Holiday - Pick any category, can show u many examples where films with less advantage than today's film releasing in clash had, score MORE.

In today's time, five day weekend on Eid can indeed ensure a 200 cr weekend. Do you think Sultan would have reached 300 cr had it not got five day weekend? Gadar released 17 years back...you can't compare it to the films releasing today. YJHD and Ready were blockbusters.. but so was RNBJ which too released in a non holiday period...but were these films any sort of record breakers? No. Records and highest grossers can be achieved only during festival periods when everybody is free and wants to watch movies. Holiday releases and non holiday releases can't be compared.

All the films that you have mentioned released many years ago. Ab zamaana badal gaya hai. In the last ten years, not even a single non holiday release has managed to create records or become highest grosser. Ab bas holiday releases hi records create karti hain. Times have changed.
