Trade experts were positive that Raees will earn good numbers on its opening day but what made them even more hopeful was the scope of the film earning huge sum on Republic Day. It's a holiday so you can imagine their excitement. Raees made Rs. 26.30 crore on that day, becoming the only film to earn such a huge number on that occasion. Clashes are nothing new to Shah Rukh and guess that gave him the faith that he will be able to post big numbers despite getting stiff competition from Hrithik Roshan's Kaabil. By doing so, Raees managed to earn Rs. 93.44 crore, it has become the highest opening weekend collection during a clash. Now that's humongous.
