Watched it on friday. I was shocked to see the theatre almost empty considering it was friday and a night show in my place.

Good movie but they shouldn't have commercialized it much as it took away the very essence. I was enjoying the first half until the first song came. Songs if kept in the background only would have been much better except Udi Udi, imo. Then the movie grew intense and gripping. The second half was a bit stretched and a bit boring. The end was good. Raees deserved it. Overall a fine movie, you will come back satisfied and enjoyed.

But for me the wow factor was missing. Or maybe my expectations were much higher given there was so much hype.

SRK was top notch👏. Those kohl filled eyes were dangerous and so tender at the same time. He was excellent in the scene where dials CM's number to negotiate regarding his dhanda and elections. Not once he hammed😆 He was thaaat good that you wouldn't feel even an ounce of empathy for him in the end. SRK should stick to these type of roles. SRK nailed it as Raees. Unfortunately this is not his comeback movie and not even his career best performance.

And yes. He was hotness personified in the pathani suit☺️.

Now I'm planning to watch Raman Raghav 2.0 and many more Nawaz's movies. He aced out everyone else with the subtlety he played his character. Absolutely enjoyed every frame that had Nawaz.

Mahira had a small role and honestly I wasn't happy with her part. It was unsatisfactory.

What I loved :

SRK's kohl filled eyes.

SRK-Mahira<3 They were so freaking hot together. This was SRK's best chemistry with any co-star. Not even Kajol comes close. Loved how Raees' demeanor changes everytime around Aasiya, he gets so passionate yet gentle. Sad, we can never seem them together again.

I waited for their scenes throughout the movie.

What I didn't like:

SRK's crying scenes. SRK didn't do it well.

The first song. It shouldn't have been there.
