Review: Spoilers ahead
Watched the film after knowing all the twists and turns and of course with a lot of expectations, and I was very much in silent through out the film, did not know how to feel about it, good, bad or happy. The film was depressing, it does not leave you happy and may be that is where the film wins.

The plot itself is crystal clear, it is predictable and predictable in a good way because the execution has been so clear and yet to simple and catchy keeping the asian audience in minds that you stay hooked, for example I knew that Supriya would attempt for a suicide, but i think when the sequence appeared on my screen, i felt devastated as if I was't expecting this tragedy to happen. The best part of this plot is that it is not about any social message, neither it preaches that rape is heinous and nor doe sit preach that Blind people deserve sympathy and extra care, all the plot cares about is how much love was there between two imperfect people and how much incomplete their lives become due to a sudden and very much unfair tragedy.

The worst part of the plot is that it is not anything happy, its dark and dark in a very depressing way, you do not feel good to see lovers get separated in such a brutal way that too when they have nobody else with them.

Some amazing scenes :

a) That flickering voice and moist eyes of Rohan when he goes on announcing that he has lost Su in the mall, Initially the build up of the scene made me feel that it was cheesy, that what the heck was happening, but once Rohan goes on the mic and his voice and body language reflects that fear of losing Su, that moment was just so beautiful. I think not everybody would love this scene and only a sucker for intense romance would buy this.

b) Rohan's apology and Supriya's death.. I think the fact that I cried, this much is self explanatory. The scene was executed with some serious guts, he was actually apologizing and expressing his love to his wife by sitting on the same bed where she was literally hanging. He kept talking unless her cold toe hits him and he smiles and holds that cold foot just to realize that she is dead. I hated it, this was sad, something so shattering, Rohan's shriek and his break down, everything was miserable.

c) Madhav's entry and subsequent disgusting confession. " My brother did what i could not do with the woman i had fallen for ".. DISGUSTING. " My brother only raped your wife after you had your first night and suhaagraat ".. DISGUSTING as f**k.. Rohan silent and numb through out and then the last stroke, "I did not understand that if your wife had to die then she could have did this after the first rape, why did she do it after the second one''? .. Rohan moves, he actually realizes that Su was not upset with him, she was not even weak as a woman, but she knew what a mockery would their lives be if she would stay alive. The love between them again was just so painfully painted in this sequence.

Performances:-

Hrithik has given such a special performance, i do not want to use best and superb for him, because that i use fr most of his performances. Being a fan, I was very proud and happy, as i said after 17 years he did something which made me cry, its a joy for me. I loved him as Rohan, he was Rohan there, Sanjay Gupta is just so lucky that he got Hrithik for this role..

Yami looked beautiful, and i found her very convincing. She was the perfect Supriya, so simple and elegant. and how beautiful their chemistry was, Rohan and Supriya was like a breath of fresh air in this world of love stories where boy is sexy and girl is sassy.

The inspector was brilliant too, wow he actually maintains a straight face throughout Rohan's tragedy and does not even let you feel that he is power hungry but you know that he is.

special mention: Kaabil sad version, when it plays it is heart breaking, that moment made me wish that supriya should have lived for some more time to listen to Rohan, or may be it was good that she died instead of being raped everyday.

PS- I might write something again, because i donno whether i have written a review or something else, I am too much into the film still to actually feel something exact about the film. It was an experience after a long time.

All i can say is, i cried during the tragedy, Hrithik made me cry, finally i can say that after 17 years of a career, more than 20 films, he has succeeded to make one of his fan cry .. Its a joy as a fan

the pre-interval scene was very powerful...even when he goes to show reports to that corrupt sub-inspector that was so good...

What a movie ! Watched it for the second time, it's the last week and I was pleasantly surprised to see the theatre almost full. Even when the first half was over, people were still pouring in..
The film's experience is so hard to describe. Such a beautifully made film, can not believe it's Sanjay Gupta.
You feel all the emotions because every character was so brilliantly played. You cry, laugh, and smile with them.
The first half was heart-wrenching as I expected and was equally scared to watch, especially the scene where supriya cries in agony after her first rape.
The theatre was so silent and I could hear only people sniffing around me.
The second half was awesome. Action packed and Hrithiklicious. And I wasn't as depressed as I was expecting myself to be after reading the spoilers.

Maybe I had myself mentally prepared. In the second half I was all about go Rohan go chants. I was enjoying all the scenes where the goons are beaten up. It was sort of satisfying.

Overall, a very beautiful movie. The story is nothing new yet it manages to capture your heart. The only complaint was the vFx.
Some scenes were quite unrealistic and it was distracting.

Hrithik was just beyond awesome. 👏 As a fan you feel proud. I get it now that why I read he deserves the best actor award. And he was anything but Rohit of KMG. Yes, the trailer had given that vibe though.
The scene where he ends up crying while dubbing tears your heart apart.

Yami did her part well. She looked really pretty in the film.

Ronit was amazing. Those eyes were chilling. He makes you hate him with passion.

Fantastic movie. It would have fared much more than this if not the clash.

4/5 stars.

😭
Yes, that breakdown scene takes you high on emotions. Duggu played that part so exceptionally well, going maniac as he realizes she is dead.
My tears had no end until someone accidentally hurt my foot while passing by😆
The movie isn't that depressing. In the end, you feel sort of contented as the goons get their deserved punishment.
