I agree. Highway was the gamechanger for Alia in terms of career success. The real test will be sustainability. Look at Deepika, Priyanka, Kareena or even Katrina - all going strong for so many years. The real test is will you be able to sustain it like any of the top actresses did?

Exactly, its easier to have 2-3 films as hits but to have more no of hits and for many years is the tough test. Lets see how long can Alia sustain that. One more thing Alia has a baby face, she cant really do those grown up mature roles which are full of life's tribulations.

I agree it is much harder to sustain your position than to work towards success. And given that Alia is so young, I do believe she will have her share of ups and downs in the industry. But the one thing she doesn't have to worry about is people disregarding her as a performer ever. People spend years in the industry trying to prove their acting abilities and Alia has done it so early in her career. It took Deepika five years until people finally saw she could act with Cocktail. Look at Shraddha, despite so many hits in her career, she's never been regarded as a "good actress". Earning credibility is difficult in such a competitive space like BW. And being able to prove it film after film is that much more difficult. Alia has so far done both.

Alia may not be another PC but she's definitely someone who will leave a solid legacy in the movie industry. Her script sense seems good so far and she has shown her versatility as an actress. And knowing how driven she is, she's not one to falter if her movies don't do well in the future. She has many years ahead of herself and that's what makes it exciting. She has the liberty to go through ups and downs but so far it's only been an uphill stride of success.👏👏
