Nup, that happened very rare, in exceptional cases. Usually film is applied to State ministry to get that Tax Free status, Dangal must have been done so.

Now from 5 states, direct gross is becoming nett, while for other films, Nett comes after tax deduction.

Haryana i can understand, being made on wrestler's life from their state, baaki states no idea.

When Geeta Phogat won gold medal in CWG2010 then I don't think only people in Haryana were proud of her achievement,the whole of India is proud of that...

What do you mean taxfree help?

Do you really believe it needs any help from outside to beat all the records other than the movie itself?

Taxfree is done by the states to show their support to the story...

If Bajirao Mastani would have given TaxFree in Maharashtra, it would have made 230-250 for sure.

Also, if this is logic behind giving TaxFree to make us feel proud, then it will sound PITY. Yes, we all are proud, for her, for all those sportsperson, but do u really think Dangal getting TAXFREE is anything to do with Geeta or any other sportsperson, Profits are only going to Aamir, that too more than what he could have got without this help.

Why should BM be given tax free at all? Kya ukhada hai us movie ne? Aise toh every movie that talks of hindu-muslim bhai bhai should be given tax-free...Also, who asked any movie/biopic not to get taxfree status?

Its ok Lakhan ji...hota hai...Salman is not number 1, but he is number 2 for sure...now just accept it and move on...🤗

I don't know why a film being tax-free is laughable or it is considered as a favour. Getting the tax-free status is something to be proud of. Not many films get that respect. And Dangal deserves it.

The efforts put by everyone involved in the film is paying off and if the film manages to create a new record... Hats off to them👏

Did you really think that a film which was a joke in the name of a sports film wouldn't be beaten by a well made real sports film? Logon mein dimaag hai...jo film jyada achi hogi, wo hi jyada business karegi.

Even BB and Sultan were tax free...dude woh kaunsa biopic tha? 😆...Dabangg 2 and Don 2 too were released in Christmas...

Kitna whine karega? 😆 first u had Hirani,Dhoom franchise excuse...and then I remember many of u guys were mocking that it won't even make more than 200-250 crs as Christmas and New Year holidays fall on Sundays...Dangal first weekend crossed D3 PK and BB opening weekend collections...ab kuch nahi bacha toh as usual Enhanced ticket rates ka support le raha hai 😆...

Dangal with the actor playing older char,no star actress,demonetization is doing well at the BO...

you know...we haven't broken pk record...its not that we are not trying, we are and getting closer..but yeh loh...ek aur big record aa gaya...dangal ka.

aakhir kabh takh aamir records make karega and hum : lage raho yeh koshish meh, hum todh sakhen...but tell you humnse nahi ho payega.
