Sonam Kapoor's career graph from Saawariya to Neerja is nothing less than inspiring. The lovely actress with her power-packed performances has not only cemented her position in the industry but has also won over our hearts.

While her acting skills, especially in Neerja, earned her many rave reviews and awards, the 31-year-old feels that these trophies don't define a star.

During a recent interview with a leading magazine, Sonam said, "It's nice when you get awards. But awards don't define your stardom."

Further speaking on how unplanned her acting career was, she opened up "My foray into Bollywood had nothing to do with being an actor. It had everything to do with telling amazing stories.I just happened to become an actor by chance."

Talking about her big-screen projects, she will be next seen in sister Rhea Kapoor's Veere Di Wedding.

What does she mean by 'telling amazing stories?' Screenplay/script writer?

No one becomes an actor 'by chance' Sonam. 😛

She is right.Sonam is a star..because of who she is-She has a personality following.Hits/flops dont matter much.Her cousin Ranveer,super star Kareena Kapoor-They have just made themselves bigger than their films.

I always wanted to study Janifer Anistons,astonishing popularity post friends..and how she has sustained it for so long.She is still among top 5 earners in the world among actresses😲.I mean HOW?

Sonam is such a liar. She was crying so much when Alia got an award.

She probably is changing her statement as now she is worried that KJO might not sign her or useless brother is Dharma productions.

SSR and Sonam has faced that problem this year for Neeraja and Dhoni

.It is story of many Actors and Actresses who dont get award even though they deserve it...As someone said its like whoever attends party they get return Gift...they need to change this system
