I like it although it is a "sum of the parts better than the whole" kind of film. Abhishek as Lallan Singh gave one of the best star performances of the decade. The Vivek-Kareena track is one of my favorite love stories in BW.

I loved this movie. All the actors did a fine job.

Don't remember the story much anymore as I saw this more than a decade back.. gonna re-watch it sometime this weekend.

Prefer the south version more eventhough I liked both films. Mostly because the performance in the south version overall was miles ahead. Madhavan did that baddie role much much better than Abhishek and Surya was beyond amazing as Michael. Slightly biased towards the south version since all 3 male leads there are my absolute favourites. 😳 Nevertheless, one of the most under appreciated films overall.

Loved it. specially Rani-Abhi track was pure gem. Abhishek was spine chilling - his best . Rani was superb..Kareena looked awesome throughout..

One of ARR's best music - Kabhi neem neem, Faana ..

The South version I believe is the actual best movie but I really liked & enjoyed the Hindi version! B Jr gave what is probably his best performance & I feel so bad for him because he's clearly a good actor! More than the Vivek-Kareena life story I liked the Rani-Jr one! They had sizzling chemistry! And were so real as a besotted yet slightly flawed couple & it felt natural. Their was childlike love with the elopement & passion too, yet a sense of how burdensome their <3 was for Rani's character. Very, very nice movie & I really doubt that both will ever act opposite each other but I do really like Rani-B Jr's chemistry so would like to see them in a nice movie someday.
