A few days after both Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt expressed their skepticism at the thought of Ranbir Kapoor playing the lead role in a biopic on the life of the former, the Rockstar himself candidly admitted that he is quite nervous about the project and doesn't believe that he deserves to star in it.

While at a recent awards function, when asked about the update on the film, which will be directed by Rajkumar Hirani, Ranbir said, ''I am starting the shoot next month. It is a very difficult film. To represent Sanjay Dutt and work with Raju Hirani...I don't even think I deserve this film. But, I am looking forward to working on it.''

Ranbir will also be next seen opposite former ladylove Katrina Kaif in Anurag Basu's Jagga Jasoos.

He has no confidence in himself. Knows that none of his hits are due to him. Kapoor scion who got hand picked to star in the best BW had to offer...very much like Abhishek in his early days till Ranbir himself arrived on the scene and he was booted out. Its a matter of another scion arriving from another BW royal family like Aryan or some other Kapoor and under confident Ranbir is let go off.

Never knew Sanjay Dutt is so great that Ranbir thinks he does not deserve to play him or Ranbir is so downgraded that he cannot play Sanju 😆

He is close to Sallu and called him arrogant nothing wrong. He did not humiliate Salman like he did to the other one 😉

If they focus on the troubled Sanju more than the positive Sanju then Ranbir will NAIL it.

I found Ranbir amazing in Rajneeti. That's his forte. If he does grey characters and balances them with romantic movies, he will soar.

Sanjay is so effin arrogant himself, though his fallout with Sally does make me curious. I wonder what happened.
