Why'd I support what happened with the pandits? But weren't they compensated. And Gujarat people have not been compensated till now. I'm Christian and equally hurt with this name it's like jale pe namak dalna for any Indian and who feels that they are Indian by culture (irrespective of religion)not Arab will express their discomfort.Its Def not about Hindu Muslim.

If saif has indeed taken inspiration from taimur the mass murderer then its a shame!

And lol at the hypocrisy of the people,nobody would say anything to the ones abusing Hindus here. And y only Hindus army bhi aagyi Kashmir bhi aagya Gujarat riots bhi aagye.. So army indirectly being called murderer here?? Nobody has a problem with that!

Neighboring country ppl who are happy with the name ...will they name their Kids after the person who is behind Aleppo or other attacks ...I am sure those names also must have some meaning and very common in their own countries ...missile wagaira bhi hogi unn names pe 😉

I agree that we need more voices of sanity against religious zealots but Salman Rushdie is not one of those voices. Might be for you cuz he he might reflect your thinking but not for everyone. I also agree that people who issue a Fatwa at the drop of a hat are a curse.

And would it help if i join you in the condemnation of King "Taimur"? No one is condoning his actions here. In fact even though people here allege that muslims take pride in these rulers i can assure you it must an Indian muslim thing. Decedents of these rulers obviously will take pride in their predecessors. However to the other large population of muslims of the continent these rulers a relic of the past, a page in history and trust me when i say that nobody reveres them based on their bloodthirsty course of actions. I was disgusted with all of them after i studied their history in detail for an exam. Siblings killing each other, their relatives and even their parents for power is not even the slightest representation of the religion they claimed they belonged to but merely lust for power.

And contrary to popular delusion here, i have yet to meet someone who thinks or prides themselves as decedents of Arabs. People are merely mirroring their own insecurities. But the truth is that the continent is now filled with people who have European, Arab, Mongol etc blood in them.

Anyways this thread is getting way out of hand. And its sad to see both sides dragging each other like this. Thats why i don't agree with people's delusional wishes for a utopian world when there is some much resentment and people are still holding on to the past.

Sad a kid is dragged here when it truly reflects on Saif's intelligence. Taimur and his linage had blood-fights with Lodhi Dynasty and Pataudi forefathers ( though the Nawabi tittle was given by Britishers), the irony there is more hilarious , considering how Bebo build Saifu to be a historian.😆

👏 By all means please drag Pakistan into all of this. Things like these makes me so glad there is a Pakistan (no matter what state is in right now) and proves the need for separation.

And just to prove how wrong you are, my housemaid had a son this in year in September and no prizes for guessing what she named him. 😉 (now he's going to say i made it up).

Your argument is weak. Names have no power and one Fazalullah doesn't malign the actions of thousands of other Fazalullahs.
