Rather than trying to understand others language , culture they want other to follow their judgmental whim and fancy.
Sure, tell Jews to "understand others' culture" if a Western celebrity named their kid Adolf. If some celebrity did try this outrageous move, everyone would consider them white supremacists and neo-nazis. There are millions of names in the world and if you select one this political and hideous in history, be ready for the brickbats.

Row breaks out over Tarek Fatah comment at Panjab University

Dhillon said Tarek mocked at the librarian and asked him to tell the students to sit. Immediately, an altercation ensued.

Written by Shubh Karman Dhaliwal | Chandigarh | Updated: December 1, 2016 5:25 pm

A HUGE row broke out between Panjab University students and Pakistan-born Canadian writer Tarek Fatah after the latter allegedly called a J&K student terrorist. Tarek had been invited to deliver a Tedx talk on Balochistan. After the fracas, the organisers called off his talk, scheduled for Thursday.

Gagandeep Singh Dhillon, a PhD scholar in geography, said: "I was sitting at the physics canteen when Tarek came and began an informal interaction with students. We were discussing yesterday's Nagrota terror attack. When he was talking to us, the department librarian came. When the students rose to show respect, Tarek told them, Indians need to stop giving such treatment to their seniors'."

Dhillon said Tarek mocked at the librarian and asked him to tell the students to sit. Immediately, an altercation ensued. Among those arguing was Mustafa, a PhD scholar from Kargil. "Tarek was saying, He would not stand up for his own father, why are you all standing up for this person'. When I objected, he told me, Hey you gori chamdi, where are you from?' When Mustafa replied, Tarek allegedly responded with You're a Pakistani terrorist, you're an anti-national'."

Also, Tarek allegedly told Dhillon, "You are a Khalistani."

Another PhD student Ganeshwari said when she asked Tarek his opinion about her, he said, "You are the real patriot because of your religion."

Tarek said he called Mustafa a Pakistani "because he was behaving like one". He said before the altercation, the group was discussing Tuesday's terror attack. "My view was that India needs to retaliate in the strongest terms. That upset him leading to an argument."

According to Tarek, suddenly, "a dozen men" arrived. "This was an attack planned by the Congress youth wing and people backing Left ideology."

A PU spokesman said, "The university neither invited anyone nor cancelled any event."

LOL Bazigar, are you actually serious? Any educated person worth their salt knows that Taimur targeted specifically "infidels and mushriqs" during his incursions into India. It was his stated aim and objective.

If condemning the name Taimur is "bigotry" to you, then I guess people condemning the ISIS are also bigots?

I am sorry but i don't remember that Prophet Mohammed had any grandson named Akbar. And besides Akbar is a common Arabic word case in point Allah o Akbar.

And Tarek Fateh is a wannabe Suliman Rushdie of Pakistan. He does make some sense sometimes though.

Right-wing Hindutva brigade wish death on newborn child of Saif and Kareena

December 20, 2016

Star Bollywood couple Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan were blessed with a baby boy on Tuesday. They named their child Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi.'

"We would like to thank the media for the understanding and support they have given us over the last 9 months, and of course especially our fans and well wishers for their continued affection," Saif and Kareena said in a statement.

According to sources, Kareena delivered the baby in the morning on Tuesday at the Breach Candy Hospital, in south Mumbai and is reported to be in good health.

While it is the first child for the 36-year-old actress, Saif already has two kids Sara and Ibrahim with ex wife Amrita Singh.

But, for what was a moment of joy for the Bollywood couple and their respective fans, the right-wing Hindutva supporters were left seething on social media platforms.

These users, often dubbed as paid troll army of the right-wing brigade, took serious objection to Saif and Kareena naming their child Taimur.

The right-wing supporters' objection to the name Taimur was based on a deep-rooted belief that the central Asian ruler had allegedly slaughtered Hindus during his invasion of India in the late fourteenth and early fifteenth century.

One of the first social media users to slam the celebrated Bollywood couple for naming their son Taimur was the RSS poster boy, Tarek Fatah, who's known for his Islamophobic rants.

A Pakistani by birth, Fatah wrote on his Facebook page, "I am astounded. How on earth would any Indian name their son Timur' or Taimur' the man who committed a genocide of Hindus and Muslims of India, who built pyramids of human skulls across India. And this is the supposed Muslim royalty' of Hindustan?

"For Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor to name their son Taimur' is evidence of utter ignorance or an arrogant embrace of the crimes committed by those who invaded and plundered Hindustan. What a fall, from Tagore to Timur."

Fatah, who is not a student of history, has been known for his hateful rants taregtting anything Muslim. He's often found himself in the spot of bother and embarrassment for his inability to back his claims with evidence.

Fatah, however, found support on Twitter from the usual suspects in the right-wing army, who joined the chorus to condemn Saif and Kareena.

The criticism wasn't just confined to the star couple with the hatred by right-wing group soon turning into a wish for the new born child's death.

The death wish for the newly born received instant condemnation on the microblogging site.

Contrary to the spin being given to Taimur's history to defame a celebrity couple bearing a Muslim name, this is what one of India's finest historians, once wrote about the the central Asian ruler.

Irfan Habib wrote, "Those whom he slaughtered were not all infidel Hindus, deserving their fate, as in Yazdi, but both Hindus and Muslims: such as were killed by Timur when he marched towards Delhi "obtained the honour of martyrdom (sharaf-e shahdat)". Like Yazdi, he too describes the slaughter of all the enslaved captives in the hands of Timur before his recrossing of the Yamuna to attack Delhi: his estimate of the number of the victims is more moderate, being 50 000 as against Yazdi's 100 000."

Meanwhile, unperturbed by the social media discourse, the family appeared to be on the moon over the addition to the Pataudi and Kapoor family.
