Forget these uber rich peeps, these days even a decent number of folks from middle class stay seperate, despite their home being in the same city. Sometimes if their workplace is too far from their home or when their schedules are messed up or if they work/party till late. And sometimes you might just need some privacy and a little space to concentrate on whatever you are doing. No big deal, I guess.

Family lives aren't that simple.. many people out there struggle to live in peace/harmony with their family members. That does not mean they don't have love or do not care, but it's due to countless factors which if I start writing will end up writing a novel. It's just that, basically, some people's daily life gets affected due to lack of that peace/harmony and then they look for better way out :)

How in the world are they going to throw big parties and have the girlfriends/boyfriends staying over if they have parents in the other room. Adults need privacy.

I always dreamed of owning one when I was a teen lol never become a reality unfortunately as just when I'm becoming independent enough financially am getting hitched lol

And I'd have had the apartment I wanted about 20km from home only
So it's not really BW stars who wanna have it that way. Most of us who wanna have it can't afford one as easily as them, that is the only difference
Trust me I love my family but I love my independence just as much. And I grew up in a home where my brother and I had an entire wing to ourselves once we grew past our teens. So it's not like we even got in each other's way as often.. But even that isn't really as fun as having my own place at least for a while

So I'd say different strokes for different folks :)

For stars,it's about protecting privacy of their parents also. A few like Bachchans are all star family, so staying together or apart doesn't matter.
I guess RK moved out coz he wanted to live with Kat which was very bold decision.

I agree with you both in western culture kids leave parents home as soon as they're done with college. In India they stay with parents til they are married and even after that. But Bollywood celebs are different stories. They follow more of western culture.

It's called independence, having your own life, learning to manage your household and your money.
Jayalalitha, the recently deceased CM of Tamil Nadu who was an actress once talked about how when her mom died (she was only in her 40s when she died) and Jayalalitha was in her early 20s then, she was a successful actress but did not know anything. Things like how much she was paid, who owed her money, how many servants she had, how to run a household and so on. She was very candid about people cheating her.

The rich and sheltered are very likely to be taken advantage of as they are clueless and pampered. Knowing where your money comes, how to manage it are all life skills. Yes, it is nice if mommy and daddy manage it for you or mommy sends ghar ka khana and most parents will not steal the money . But growing to be an adult with no clue about money management, basic skills like cooking, managing a house, cleaning, doing your own laundry, driving is a sign of immaturity to me. If you are rich or middle class and have servants to do it or people to manage it, good for you but if you do not know these basic skills which are life skills it is you who are the loser.

I applaud people like RK, Alia, Deepika, Kat and many others who are truly independent. Being independent does not mean you do not have a close relationship with your parents or you disrespect them. In the case of Deepika her parents were there when she was depressed. They seem to have a strong bond despite living in different cities. It means they have raised a person truly capable of taking care of themselves but they will step in if need be to help. That is the best compliment to any parent and child and the best relationship IMO.

I really like the kapoor family at andheri east . Shobha aunty, ekta madam, father son duo and the new kid all together.
Waise after hrithik went into his new house initially in the same apartment as of akshay Kumar, kangana was spotted coming out at odd hours. Good benefits 😉

It's give them independence. Not really for sleeping with someone. They can party hard whole night with friends...
